I don't belive this for a second. It would not have 70 in the name at such high prices.
AMD are naming them for the RTX5070 and RTX5070TI.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Yea so not top end and that's why those prices would make no sense. The prices mentioned are just to high to be believable. AMD might be daft but even they would know at those prices the cards would be dead before they hit the market. Either that or the cards are just way faster than Nvidia.AMD are naming them for the RTX5070 and RTX5070TI.
Such a shame too because, priced correctly like it eventually was, it's such a good card.Given how the prices the 7900 XT, I wouldn’t put it past them.

Yeah it depends on a lot of variables. If the 9070 is 4090 performance (stay with me) then it won't start at $500Well realistically they can’t charge $750, so expect $650ish. Or if AMD are incredibly obtuse, then $700.
The 9070 could be $550 if it beats the 5070 and has more VRAM.
Rumours are saying these cards can use up to 330w. So you are forced to use beefed up coolers. Amd would be commiting suicide bringing a 70 card at these prices. At the very least AMD will be cheaper than Nvida. Those prices never had a chance of that. Just made up crap for hits.Look at the price of the RTX5070 and RTX5070TI then? The latter starts at $749 or £720 with VAT. The former at £540.
The RX7800XT was 50% faster than an RX6700XT and the RX6700XT 33% faster than an RX5700XT.
Even if an RX9070 was an RX7900XT,it would only be 30% faster than an RX7800XT. It has to be priced under £500.
However,if that was the case AMD would have launched now, because the RTX5070 starts at £540.
But just look at the size of the cards, etc. Do those look like sub £500 cards to you? The only way AMD is pricing these well, is because of the backlash they are seeing at any higher pricing rumours, and Nvidia announcing their FE pricing.
Just look at Zen5 pricing? It isn't great either.

My 7900xt uses around the same power stock. The cooler is huge and I got it cheaper than these suggested prices. I just think those prices look very wrong for any AMD card with 70 in the name. They look more like Nvidia prices. If the launch was delayed for pricing I would be very surprised as surely it doesn't take months to drop your pricing. If anything surely AMD would be surprised at how rubbish the Nvidia 5 series performs without DLSS frame gen. Maybe AMD are revising there pricing up hahaha. There are other mentions of pricing being too high:

If the pricing was lower AMD would have launched now and made Nvidia look stupid. But they are not and these cards look huge and not cheap to make. They look more like RX7900/RX6800 series cards in terms of PCB size, cooler size, amount of power connectors, etc. The last time they played these games was with Vega 56 and their limited launch pricing.
AMD might be sandbagging about their real performance, but after the RX7900XT fiasco and Zen5, I will only believe when it happens.

You don't need to wait, you can do it right now apparentlyI just wish they would hurry up and release them so we can laugh at them screwing up again.
While I can agree that AMD can make some seriously mind boggling mistakes. There whole talk has been about providing affordable cards which will sell. Those prices won't get them anywhere and they must know that after what they done with the 7900xt. I could be wrong but I just can't see them naming the cards as they have and pricing that high. I guess time will tell and as I have a 7900xt this gen holds no interest for me.That is the problem - they did it last generation and priced relative to Nvidia. The RX7900XTX and RX7900XT were clearly the RX7800XT and RX7800. But since Nvidia was going to launch an RTX4080 12GB at a high price,AMD priced and named relative to Nvidia. Nvidia then renamed it to RTX4070TI 12GB and dropped the price $50 below AMD.
It could take months to drop pricing, because AMD would need to put aside funds to do so. The Vega 56 and 64 launch was delayed too.
But all of this negativity is because AMD unlaunched the cards and bungled the CES reveal.

May be the delay is just to sell off older cards as they will have to drop prices a lot to sell them if the new card is good and well priced.
One could certainly hope for a similar scenario to happen again, even if it was not intentional. I doubt any sane person would argue against getting some graphics cards a bit cheaperAMD famously mentioned they jebaited Nvidia Turing with the price of the RX5600XT/RX5700XT:
They apparently forced Nvidia to lower their price, only for AMD to drop their pricing even lower.

That latest 8060S slide leak being as quick as a 4070 (laptop) has put the cat amongst the pigeons and thats RDNA 3.5 inside a CPU.
This 9070 is gonna be quick for sure.
