Ah, OK fair enough. I’m 56 and still enjoy gaming. Though I have moved from the one year cycle to a three or four year cycle.
It will be interesting to see how AMD (Allow Mistakes Daily) mess this up.
I'm on the 'if a game gets my interest' cycle currently. Had a 3080ti for a year and it spent 99% of its time rendering windows, so downgraded to a vega 64 last year. Still handles gta 5 at ok settings, surprisingly.
Not good game that, Windows, keeps respawning me when i least expect it and without first asking me if i want to save my progress. Literally does it right in the middle of a dungeon level.

I'm making a statement here.
People are looking for a GPU that is 4080 performance for around £550 or less
People aren't after less for more.
It's why this generation of GPU from a consumer point has done poorly.
Very true. I regretted getting a used 4080 for £900, let alone the £1270 they were looking for them new.
Trying my son’s 7900 XT at 1400p with RT on in Wukong with FSR and FG is actually not terrible experience, yet for him it is perfectly playable. My 4080 is obviously a lot faster at that res and settings without FG. Having said that the RT on vs off is still not worth the FPS hit on either GPU IMHO. Anyone convincing themselves RT is just amazing are delusional IMHO. I have ran on vs off back to back for well over a few hours and always come away concluding that RT off with better FPS and no FG is a much more fluid experience. Even when capped at 60 FPS.
Oh and FSR is perfectly useable now, not as good as DLSS but hardly another night and day difference.
So for the majority the Nvidia tax for the “premium” features is just pure BS IMHO. Both Nvidia and AMD need to get realistic with their prices.

Like all Youtubers these days he is chasing the Youtube algorithm, if they are not 15 minutes long they don't show up in recommended feeds, so they make a 4 minute video 16 minutes long by filling 80% of it full of fluff....
I watch a lot of his videos, too many, they are long but he's interesting and funny.
I watch Youtube like i used to watch TV, i haven't actually watched anything on Legacy TV for years, its all utter garbage or blatant propaganda. I have Smart Tube side loaded on an Amazon FireTV stick, its better than Youtubes on app and no adds...
You should watch Asmongold Clips, its a channel actually run by his editors, its short form and they often have their own take on his clips which is quite funny...

Take 7900xtx raster, add 4080 level of hardware RT and a hardware driven upscaler. Keep it in the $700 price range and AMD got themselves a good winner with rnda4. Trying to price creep their hardware alongside nvidia isn’t going to work so find your own swim lane. Upscaling and RT aren’t fads and need to be appropriately addressed.

What AMD need to do is start looking at proper hardware accelerated upscaling, Intel has their own branch of XeSS that is exclusive to Intel GPU's that does give nice image quality and Nvidia has DLSS.
AMD need to stop being frightened of having something that is exclusive to their hardware.
I highly doubt that we'll see that with RDNA4 considering it's pretty much been confirmed so far the highest end card will be akin to a 7900XT.
RDNA5 yeah sure we'll see a huge improvement but RDNA4 is their 5700XT moment all over again.
