*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

435mm for mine and I thought I had a big case by modern standards (Phantek P600S).

I'm tempted to sell my 7800XT and buy a 9070XT. Not for any good reason, but new toy, new toy! :)

I'd probably be better off selling my board, CPU and RAM (5700X, 32GB DDR4-3600) and buying a 9800X3D (if that's possible now) with board and RAM for it. But that would be fuss and bother. Swapping a graphics card is a 5 minute job.

Then I consider the games I actually play (mostly older games and/or indie games) and realise it doesn't matter as my current hardware is more than enough for them.

But new toy!

Guess it depends on actual price and actual performance. And hey, selling my 7800XT now will get me more money than selling it later, so I'm saving money, right? :)

Your last statement was also in my thoughts too. It makes sense to change it out before the value drops after another year and you get to enjoy newer tech and brings happiness which is priceless.

Do we know which manufacturer ?

Who knows but they are running the same memory as the 7000 series, i don't see how they can run so much hotter, its also weird that they are both only using about 1GB of VRam, what are they doing to use 1GB of VRam? are they crypto mining?

The Sapphire Pulse is a fair chunky GPU for only being a a 2x8pin connector 304W model. I belive thicker than some of the other 3 x 8pin units.

GDDR 6, its not even GDDR 6X is easy to cool, those IC's don't use a lot of power, at least not under normal operation.

Yeah rather annoyingly i really like it, i'm very impressed with my little 2 fan Pulse, runs very cool and quiet, aside from the way the 9070 XT Pulse looks, which i like, the much bigger chunkier cooler is also appealing, would fallout my Antec C7 ARGB nicely.

stock settings 82-84C with fan @ 600rpm. gpu temp around 60.

I don't know what 600 rpm is in terms of percentage, i will say stock my fans only run at about 20 to 30%, they are completley silent like that and temps are a little higher, i have manually tuned them to run at 30 to 40%, it is cooler and still near silent.

The reaper is more likely to be close to MSRP, but whats the consensus on Powercolor cards? Neither have warranty info on the OCUK product page.
According to the warranty thread, I'd expect it to be a 2 year warranty.

Yeah i saw that, i thought i read in that thread that it had changed to 3 years. On the Powercolor site it doesnt say how long, and to consult retailer. OCUK don't specify either, so i suppose it remains a mystery.

Mine do that zero-rpm thing. I like the quiet but I dislike that the gpu runs hotter at idle (than if the fans were on) but i can never be bothered to come up with a fan curve I'm happy with. I'm not against zero-rpm, I just sort of wish it wouldn't let the gpu get so hot before turning off, but I don't think you can do zero-rpm with a manual fan curve can you?

Very loosely connected to this, do we know if there are waterblocks expected for any 9070 (XT) models? With no reference cards I guess it's harder for companies to make waterblocks. Fairly niche market and now you have to guess which card(s) will be most popular from a brand with ~10% marketshare.
