*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Oh i see...

You see in my screenshot where it says "Zero RPM" with an enable slider? turn that off, it will disable Zero RPM and then you can set the fan ramp speed from 20c.
Then you're back at the whole not having zero-rpm when setting it manually.

Not really surprising is it? Wouldn't surprise me if Intel had sold more B580 than Nvidia have sold 50 series. As has been said, both companies are probably far more interested in selling cards to businesses for AI than consumers for gaming.

Which of the 9070XT models takes your fancy?

I like the Gigabyte Gaming OC and Aorus- they take standard 8 pins and boost to over 3ghz. The only downside is that they have 2 DP and 2 HDMI. I’d have preferred more DP:HDMI.

Don’t know who would stock XFX.
I think the Aorus 5090 got a good review from HUB, let's hope Gigabyte did a good job with the AMD cards too. Gigabyte didn't use PTM7950 on the 9070s though did they, unlike some.
I would also like more HDMI ports, although as I said to someone (might've been you) my last AMD card that had dual HDMI ports (a Sapphire) didn't let me use both at the same time to output 4K@120Hz though (both worked individually). My last Nvidia card with 2 HDMI ports (a Gigabyte) did allow both to do 4K@120Hz at the same time though, so not sure what to expect this time.

I do.like the Gigabyte one, along with the sapphire Nitro.

Yeah i saw that, i thought i read in that thread that it had changed to 3 years. On the Powercolor site it doesnt say how long, and to consult retailer. OCUK don't specify either, so i suppose it remains a mystery.
Maybe it is 3 years. Just look at any other Powercolor GPU for sale on the store and they all say so.

Does it matter really if it’s 2X 8 pins or 3X 8 pins?

I thought the cards were 330w max so 2X 8 pins would suffice?

Or are the more expensive models with more 8 pins use up to 450w to boost higher?

With a quick UV and OC the likely msrp 2X 8 pins models should boost past 3ghz?

The competitor hasn't put up quite a lot of the cards, no nitro for example. Hope there is some competition otherwise can see prices being high :(

Does any one else find the 2 different sticker designs on some of the 3 fan cards off-putting? I think the Reaper is so far the best looking card with it's slimmer profile.

Still plenty of time for them to be added. Some competitors do not even have a 9070 section yet.

aslong as reviews are ok i think i just found my next card to retire my 3090

how are we going to melt cables though with only 300w of power :D

the phases on the board and the vram timings will tell you the quality, you can't tell by the power connectors or tdp alone.

The nitro plus, tuf, red devil should all be solid mid tier PCBs.

Red Devil might use top tier PCB but it usually lacks the extra vram phases and timings.

Will need to see an Toxic appear for top tier vram phases , vram chips and binning and but an Asus LC might appear later on too.

I hope the reviews do a good number of the different models and we don't just get loads of the expensive Asus and gigabyte cards reviewed. Wanna see the Sapphire and Powercolor ones too, plus not just the top models. But probably a lot to ask unless the sites have had drivers for a while now and thus a good amount of time to test multiple cards.
