The link you provided is not working?

LOL, you're both trolling now. That "slide" has been going around for months now. Even WCCFT thinks it's fake.

That same slide is in the old locked Vega thread.

I can assure you it was posted in good faith - I just received the Digital Trends newsletter email with a link to the article at 19:04 this evening. And in my defence there was no slide on the article I saw and attempted to link... Shame it's fake... oh well it was nice little bit of excitement, even if it only lasted for 25 minutes!

It's amazing how on the Internet all they have to do is fake something and then months later all it needs is the nda info cut off the bottom to get people excited again.

This is the best copy courtesy of someone here on OCUK (I forget who).

From what AMD have said about the new tech I would expect Vega to trade blows with the 1080Ti at launch. I would also expect it to comfortably take the performance crown once drivers and game engines make use of the new feature set.

It's not just top benchmark performance that we look to AMD for now. Better lower frame rates and Freesync 2 is very attractive.

Anytime I see that star style slide, I think must be fake lol. Problem is on Doom vulkan its kinda feasible, would Doom be a possible free game included ?

According to AMD marketing

Its reasonable to say greatest change, we can still judge if that equates to improvement. They've altered a lot of things with this generation, might be a train crash or an enigmatic symphony :p

Vega announced for new Apple Imac Pro at WWDC 2017.

"Radeon Vega graphics. Up to 16GB of VRAM. Up to 400 Gbps of memory bandwidth. Up to 11 Teraflops of single-precision computation. Up to 22 Teraflops of half-precision computation".

Hows that compare to other versions we heard of (roughly)

The ipad pro demo looked very snazzy also. Is this Vega usage linked to Raja being ex staff I wonder, recently in stock news I read Apple is to do their own graphics hardware design in house. This has been said before though

The Vega Frontier Edition is most likely only clocked higher than the one Apple is using, since FE is ~12.5 T FLOPs, while the Apple Vega is 11 T FLOPS.

Apple are doing their own inhouse Mobile graphics, so for iPad, iPhone, and so on.

I certainly hope not, not before Navi is out at least.

Well, what they usually do is they leave when the design is ready. Same as Keller left for Tesla before Ryzen was out.

Now, a lot of important tech that's pre-requisite for Navi, is already in Vega (see these posts in old thread: #11788, #11791) and/or Ryzen-Threadripper-Naples (and soon Raven Ridge).

I wouldn't be surprised if the critical stuff in Vega for Navi has been ironed out by Q1 2018...

Keller wasn't made the Senior Vice President, and Chief Architect though. Raja actually holds a top membership and is head of a part of AMD.

Keller was just contracted in, and never given any such positions. As such I think Raja will be staying a lot longer.

Yes, I agree. I was just saying that if he were to leave post-Navi, it would be sooner than one would think.

Raja has said that one of the reasons he went to AMD is that he has a lot of freedom to pursue other stuff (he is involved in creating animation/VR-movie studios in India). I'm pretty sure he's not likely to give all that up to go back to Apple.

Another thing is, Apple is creating mobile graphics, not high-end graphics. It'll never be able to work on high-end graphics without some sort of IP licensing deal with AMD/Nvidia (same as Intel).
