Its a high five gif!!
Just catching up with this thread. LOL! Too funny.

25% slower than a 1080Ti FE and you'd have to assume the Vega models being reviewed are the cream of the crop with the least amount of throttling.

Back on topic ffs, frys in the u.s has the reference vega 64 listed at 100$ ABOVE the proper price point. Seeing as ocuk has (allegedly) over 1000 of these in stock i'm wondering why all the price ratcheting. One of amd's slides stated $499 for the black shroud 64 iteration of the card. And yet seemingly with good supply they're still ratcheting the price.

that's what I'm thinking, decent custom cooler and a little bit of overclocking could make this card the star of the show

If you look at the specs for Vega56 its actually rated at a much lower TDP overall,ie,around 210W instead of the 345W TDP(IIRC) for the top Vega64 SKUs. Its quite obvious the latter has its GPU and RAM pushed to the limit to pip the GTX1080 FE.

Posted on hardocp forum, no clue where its came from.

The 1080TI is SO MUCH FASTER!:eek: and those TI overclock like hell.

I would have been willing to buy a liquid cooled if it was within 20% of a 1080Ti but you can forget about it not at the price AMD are charging for the liquid cooled.
But those vega 56 looks like real winner for AMD.

It might explain why GN said AMD wants Vega56 to be prioritised in reviews. The TDP is apparently only 35W more than the RX580.

OTH,if the reviews confirm it is more efficient than Vega64 and Polaris, that might actually be a good thing for Raven Ridge.
