Nice one. I had the Fury X with the AIO and it was decent and very quiet.

Ditto, sold it a while back and went rx 480 for a year, then sold that to a miner for £1 + £10p&p more than I paid a year earlier and now on my spare lowly r7-240.

Maybe the Vega FE cards are higher quality silicon and have been binned. Hence, they run at a lower voltage resulting in lower power consumption. It would make sense if AMD did this with professional, more expensive cards.

Maybe, but remember the FE has far more VRAM too, I think I would rather see some more gaming figures from more websites. If it is that bad once more reviews are out, then I am not sure what AMD is doing here, especially after the Ryzen launch where AMD could even challenge Intel in performance/watt.

I just hope the Vega56 can salvage it for them.

Do Really wish AMD just stopped using the normal ref design and went something like this.. This is supposed to be the RX 56 Ref but why not the 64 also?

I have a MSI Gaming X 1080 already, purchased at launch.

I have however been watching this thread in what seems like the most protracted wait ever for reviews, I think it's mainly due to AMD shaking up the CPU market. I've been hoping they'd do the same with GPU.... It doesn't seem likely though.

One thing I'll never understand is why some celebrate a AMD stumble, are they content on paying over the odds for Nvidia cards because the market isn't competitive.

Wonder if any websites will jump the gun and release their reviews early, seems to happen quite a bit on gpu launches.

i hope so too ..i dislike reviews and sale of the cards at the same time ..makes one rush into panic buying and would not surprise me its done for that very reason ..yes i know we have a return windows but still ...So lets hope there are reviews soon

Its weird how they do things like that, they went aio for the fury x and 295x2, they went triple fan for the 7990, but its usually just a blower fan for some reason both nvidia and amd use on reference cards.

I do wounder do AMD and Nvidia have deals with AIO partners to make better coolers and gain profits? I mean if you think about it and AMD/Nvidia released a killer GPU with the best cooler why else would someone buy from say MSI? Surely AMD and Nvidia can stop using these blower coolers.

Anyone deffo getting Vega 64 today?

Won't know until I see the price.

Money is ready, But I wont be paying over £500 and nor do i want a Ref design so I expecting I be waiting little more.

Same here I want a water or non reference card & I don't want it to be more that 650 I may bite at 7 but only because I want at least 2 maybe 3 years of life from it.

Nvidia seem content to constantly modify their blower cooler, the thought of triple fan or aio doesn't seem to have ever been considered. Their blower looks good but it just holds back performance, just seems odd why they outright refuse to do something like a dual or triple fan.
