Quick question for those using extension to power the GPU: any issues?
I was trying to use the Phanteks ones and was getting some Coil Whine.
Changed the PSU (EVGA 750W Gold) for a Corsair RM1000i, coil whine on PSU and worst with Corsair Premium cables or Phanteks extension.
Replaced for a Seasonic Prime 1000W Gold, no coil whine, but extension somewhere in landfill (binned it).
Don't hate the single connector cable as much as the silly multiple connectors in a single cable, but a braided cable would look nicer.
Some people mention 16AWG at least for the 3090. Don't know.
Which cables are you using, if you don't mind?No issues, and no coil whine, which was a nice suprise after my 3080 which did have an audible buzz when under load.

Nice. Thanks. The Moddiy PCI-E for the GPU and Phanteks sleeved extensions for the motherboard.
Anyone got the Gigabyte Waterforce 3090 (built in waterblock)?
Managed to get one for under £1900 so I won't have to rip my FE apart. What are the temps like? Can't find any solid reviews anywhere.
