Coincidence or not but since the ethereum price has dropped there seems to be many more Gpus showing up while prices have also started falling for new and used.

Thanks my dude, been enjoying some now possible 3440x1440 120 hertz gameplay.
Also yes, hope it continues. I've been trying to get the word out to anyone who's given up hope to join a stock alerts list, getting the FE card is a real possibility at the moment, hopefully the stock will last and AIB prices begin to fall.

China are clearing out mining farms at last. 65% of mining comes from there so you can see the GPUs are now filtering through to us.

Fitted a Alphacool Eiswolf 2 360 AIO to my Zotac 3090 Trinity yesterday, it was my first time dismantling a GPU so was a little nerve wrecking but took my time and it all worked out

Yeah it was pretty easy to install you just attach the supplied thermal pads on the card which are numbered by the way to make it easy and then just screw the block and then do the same with the provided back plate.

It has quick connect hoses so you can unscrew them for easier install and the rad is also refillable

Hardest part was getting one of the little rgb connectors on the original cooler unhooked from the board.

Not sure about warranty i don't remember seeing a warranty void if removed sticker.

The FE is at MSRP, so those that want a 3090, will have gone for them, as its a £1,000 cheaper than the 3rd party cards.

Really a combination of things I think. I imagine if the 3080 / 6800XT was readily available, would be less 3090 owners. As it stands some managed to get 3090 AIB models before prices went mad. Similarly 3090FE cards seem to be slightly (and very slight) easier then the other models as high price tag does put people off. Even then with high FE price tag, at MSRP its better then price tag of anything else around. Combine with people stuck in door's more disposable income etc, some selling off older cards way back etc.

But the good point about your custom loop is that if the block goes bad you can still use the air cooler. But if there is a leak you might loose out on warranty.

OCUK are selling water cooled cards already pre done, worth a look at tbh. They look good and you get a mascot with it :rolleyes:

Just thought I would check back see how the fellow 3090 owners are doing? Personally loving my FE it's still smashing any games including VR and mines @122mh/s @60c Memory junction @45% Fan Speed when Im not playing.

A week into ownership I did take it apart (butt clenched) and did the Odesey re-pad front and back and used TF Thermal paste on the die, added them fugly stick on heat sinks and as Nvidia likes to take the pi$$ outta us with price and shortages I figured the extra cooling fan made sense.
Takes AMD to make Nvidia work at less than 90c Memory junction.......

All fins and extra nonsense can be taken off and the card cleaned to original don't worry, but it does make a huge difference, tbh just the re-pad and paste did the job mostly. ;-)

What is the actual MM price for a 3090? I've found the price differences for a 3080 but not a 3090.
