What are people thinking as the best card to go under water? Was dithering on the 80 vs 90, but with 3840x1600 * 120Hz HDR... i tihnk i want the 90.

also going for a 5950x so it would be shameful not to. Just deciding what one to order... as i also want to get its matching block ordered too :/

I've got some coil whine with my FE but it seems game dependent. RDR2 sounded like I had an angry mosquito in my case although it got better over time. Crysis 3 virtually no noise, tiny bit when looking at the weapon customisation menu for a long time.

My FE was so loud when fps was hitting like 240+ FPS on some games/menu screens but its got a lot better over the last week or so.

If i really want to shut it up i just turn on V-sync or limit frames to 60/100 but im hopefull its actually going to stop completely going by the reduction recently (or maybe when i watercool it).

I did a BIOS update today and after that I feel the coil whine has been decreasing slightly. RDR2 for sure sounds like a angry mosquito lol. How long did you both had your 3090 before you noticed the coil whine decreasing?

Ive had mine for about a month so honestly about 3 weeks but I obviously wasnt gaming all the time... realistically i'd guess at least 20-30 hours of having it buzzing its head off while gaming.

Only had mine a day! RDR2 was bad to start with and especially the snowy scene on a benchmark run however after an hour or so of play it got better. Will have more of a chance to play the rest of the week and come back with results. So far:

Bad coil whine:
RDR2

Minimal coil whine:
Crysis 3

No coil whine:
Ace Combat 7 (was bad when it first loaded at 1080p and 5-600 fps in the menus Solved with switch to 4K).

Will update as I continue to try different games.

Hahaha, you and me both.. I believe we are subject to the same delay. An incident on the M25 causing closures early hours of this morning.
I'm near gatwick area. The "universe" really doesn't want us to have these cards

I'm guessing tomorrow for delivery now.

Lovely looking build! However you could do with either flipping your rad 180 degrees or top mounting it. All the air will gather at the top of the rad over time as your coolant levels deplete (plus the small amount of air already in there from manufacture) and your CPU temps will slowly creep up while your pump impeller starts to fail too over time due to your hoses sucking more and more air with them being at the top of the rad and above the pump.

Forget the PC, nice floor standers! I'm looking at the RF-7 III's... Trying to organise shipment from a seller in Germany to Netherlands, they are painfully slow on responses.

Cheers RP-260F's. They can take a beating!

Each floorstander is paired with a BK XXLS400 sealed sub, 400w each. The Klipsch floorstanders are very capable, but add 2x400w sealed 12's, and it becomes utterly terrifying!
