The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

well my copy off amazon will be released on the 15th and for those who paid for the Patema Inverted - Collector's Edition got to wait until the 29th

Very nice, that collection sounds very good, especially at the reduced rate, its unfortunately gone up to just over £150 now so not quite as good. Also well done on the buys Bakes, Arriety and Whisper of the Heart are amongst my favourite Ghibli. Wind Rises and Up on Poppy Hill are drier affairs, not so whimsicle or lighthearted.

My purchasing this year has been very restrained, largely for budget reasons, but also I simply don't have the space for all my physical games and discs in my new house, and my time has been constrained. Realistically, I probably intend to get rid of about half of my anime; some I will keep, some I am not so bothered about or won't rewatch will go.
I already have all my singles of Wolf's Rain in a cupboard for this reason.

Some like my Toradora special edition NISA releases I will never willingly sell though :)

I will let you guys know when I start selling as I might have a few titles you guys would want :)

So those of us who got it through Kickstarter look like getting it ~1 week earlier, and a lot cheaper, than the general release in the end after all of the delays.

I'm actually considering finally getting rid of some figures in the new year (to the extent of actually boxing them back into their original boxes the other day) .... I just need the space they take up.

I don't plan to get rid of any anime/manga at the moment as i still want it and it was more hassle than it was worth last time I did so ...

Watched porco Rosso lastnight, thought it was brilliant. Just loved the whole theme of the sky pirates and the dog fighting.
Gave up on oshiguru after about 4 episodes it just sucked tbh:p

Not really, they were shipped for delivery on the 8th and the email giving that information stated that if you hadn't received it by the end of today then you should contact them.

The delays from the original estimated release date until now seem to have been outside their control from the updates given.

My Patema inverted UE arrived monday, so yours should have arrived killboy.

Bakes, I'm really really looking forward to that, although I think the last update suggested they may not receive them to ship until the 12th or the 15th, so probably won't see them this side of Christmas given how long shipping from america and customs clearance often take :(

Patema Inverted looks pretty good going by the trailer but its a bit pricey for one film.

Never seen bubblegum before just looked pretty good, so I thought I'd kickstart it :)

Watched the first episode of Gurren Lagann lastnight. Big difference on blueray at 1080p compared to whatever Netflix has it at. Cant wait to watch some more tonight.

So I finished Mirai Nikki ( future diary ) yesterday and a can say with confidence that I liked it a lot, the only thing that had me was that the ending ramped up the confusion a bit and took me a while to understand what was happening.

Does anyone know of any other anime's which are similar? Psycho - Thriller - Romance.

I just spotted an email from a name that looked familiar, my BGC set has shipped!!!

It would be nice to get it before Christmas, but I suspect it won't arrive before then.

depending on weather or not it dispatch today or on Monday by the latest and that it sent first class or higher, then there is a chance it could be here before Christmas.

Ironwarrior, it's BGC, one of the first anime I watched and still one of my favourites, so £65+ taxes isn't too mad :)

pecnarf, it's been sent first class so hopefully :)

Mines on its way too, never seen the anime before hope its good.

I gotta ask since I think it's crazy you guys are spending £100's on bluray boxes, how often per year do you watch it?

I rewatch my anime lots of times and I always spot something I missed before :)
