No customs?

Hopefully in that case mine will arrive Monday, I'm itching for some BGC.

I did have a slight surprise about 30 minutes ago, the postman arrived with the replacement digipack for Gurren Lagaan (I'd only got the email it had been sent this morning).

Yeah, no customs charge and the box is in case is in perfect condition.
 
Aye, it's about hard back book size, I'm looking forward to watching it and reading the bool :) (although I've still to read a load of manga* I've bought over the last couple of years, and the Gurren book).

My BGC set still hasn't arrived, so it looks unlikely that I'll be watching that over Christmas :(


*Currently running at all of the Love Hina and Genshiken omnibuses, the Wolf Children hardback manga, and most of the Spice and Wolf books :p (I sort of wish they'd get ebook releases as well as the paper ones).
 
Werewolf, I feel your pain, if Spice and Wolf was on ebook I'd get a lot more time to read them, I have been dying to catch up recently but between my work, family, dogs and other hobbies I've had no time :(

I have 8 days off soon though so will be catching up then hopefully :D I believe I am a few novels and manga behind as I've had so little time and money. I deliberately held back reading them when I had time as I didn't want to finish them too quickly with 6 month waits, recently and since they upped to 3 a year I've not had chance!
All of you who know of my passion for this series will know how much that must be bothering me lol

New (1st) house, got married, new dogs, and work in broadcast scheduling, and been doing a lot of overtime so time has been surprisingly tight lol
 
Aye both the movies came with the gurren boxset :)
They're pretty much re-edits of footage from the TV series, with a few new scenes and I think some redone animation.

I managed to watch Patema Inverted Christmas eve, which was really good, a nice idea behind it and well implemented.


Alex, who are you and what have you done with the real Alex?
He wouldn't have let anything get in the way of keeping up with Holo's adventures with Lawrence.

I personally thought the first half with GGO was good, but tbh second half of the season was awful totally lost the plot. If they are doing a 3rd hopefully they will move away from all the fairies nonsense and get back to what made it so good.

I'm making do with listening to the Hurricane live music videos at the moment:p
Hopefully my copy will arrive tomorrow...(and my brother has noticed how much BGC music in on my in car playlist, although as I point out to him at least it's not 500 versions of fly me to the moon).
 
I just checked my tracking for the BGC set and apparently they couldn't find anyone in on the 24th.

I may pop down to the sorting office tomorrow morning and see if it's there if it doesn't arrive with the post man.
 
A quick Q for the BGC set buyers who have received them, it was via RM not parcel force wasn't it?

I ask as I'm going to try and chase it up on Saturday or Monday as I'm starting to worry that they've not even carded me despite the tracking saying

1-3 were aired as a special already and to be honest after episode 4 they were pretty much uncensored iirc, the 'animators' understood the complaints and aired it uncensored, or at least enough not to detract from the scene.

In all honesty though the anime wasn't that good, it had such a huge promise and then it was just like meh.... another fight/death/more cockroaches etc. There was just no 'emotional' connection to the characters.
