The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

I like my miltary stuff so i quite enjoyed GATE.

The Spring Season is looking pretty packed and im looking forward to

Shield Hero S2
Love is War S3
Spy X Family (trailers for this look so good)
Chainsaw Man
Komi San S2
Ascendence of a bookwork S3

I'm sure i'll find a few trash shows to watch too :D

Just back from the cinema watched Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Absolutely brilliant. Animation was top notch and the story wasn't too bad either. Well worth it on the big screen if you follow the series.

I've never seen the series, but went to the cinema not knowing a thing just knowing it was a prequel and apparently didnt need prior knowledge of the series. Me and the wife both really enjoyed it! Felt very much like its own thing, rather than just a carbon copy of everything else, which was nice in this day and age where so much stuff just feels like re-tread or rehash, made worse by the fact with computers it is so easy for character designs, scenes etc to just be reused endlessly. In fact my wife has almost entirely gone off of anime because of how bad its got in recent years with poorly made/recycled series, and yet she loved this.

Would give it a good 8-9/10.

As it's a prequel to the series you're safe to watch the movie without prior knowledge. I liked the series as well but not as much as a lot of the Internet seemed to, still a good watch though.

I haven't seen the movie yet so not sure how it stacks up vs the main season.

You say that, but I've seen prequels before that lean very heavily on nostalgia and knowing what it's leading towards. JK0 works very nicely as a standalone story, with a decently well done self-contained story.

It's a good setup to watch the main series now. There a few nods to some of the main characters which you might have missed. You should enjoy it imo.

i thought crunchyroll was doing away with the free streaming option since they merge with funimation.

i believe its the free streaming of current season anime 1 week after it airs thats getting canned. If its not the current broadcasting season i think its still free

Spy X Family opening with a strong first episode. Already love it and from the general reaction it looks like it may end up as a anime of the season if not year candidate!

Yep really enjoyed Spy x Family ep1 as well.

Kaguya-Sama was good, it's more Kaguya-Sama, can't go wrong.

Shield Hero was a little disappointing maybe, but will see how it develops. Shield Hero was really at it's best in the start of Season 1, loved the MC getting all the hate and the short end of the stick, but now it seems to have shifted focus.

Will probably do Shikimori, Bookworm, and Summertime Render on the weekly episodes in addition to those mentioned above. Otherwise I may wait 2-3 weeks see what the rest looks like. Definitely a few more I'm interested in, but not sure I want to be spinning too many plates at once when it comes to remembering what is going on and who everyone is.

I don’t know what to watch now that Dress up darling, AOT and demon slayer has finished this season.

Tried Ranking of Kings and found his lack of dialogue annoying, does he learn to talk later on because I really do not like it.

Some good new stuff seems to be kicking in, but really only at episode 1. For older stuff, lately I've seen Sonny Boy and Kids on the Slope and thought both were good.

He does not, not really. People can understand him kind of though, but if you're not digging it after a couple of episodes it won't be for you I think. I was hooked in from ep1 :)

I dunno…I recently binged Mushoku Tensai, JJK, love My Dress Up Darling, Komi can’t communicate was lovey. Can’t get into Gundam (iron blood orphan).

Done Rascal does not dream of Bunnygirl Senpai? (despite the name, ignore it, it's not really about bunnygirls at all).

If you have a MAL or something link it up and I'll see if you're missing any of my favs :)
