The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

Working my way through Haikyuu, it's really good, Volleyball anime.

I never knew Volleyball could be so intense!
It's weird I've watched a few anime where the base subject matter has no appeal for me, but I've thoroughly enjoyed the series and at the same time learned a bit about the sport or whatever at the same time. I think it's a sign of good story telling when they can do that.

I enjoyed things like hibike euphonium despite the fact I have no real interest in a school band for this same reason.

Sports anime I've enjoyed so far:

Haikyuu
Ping Pong
Hanebado
Harukana Receive
Ao Ashi

I think that's most of the ones I've seen.

If you can find it cheap you might like Princess Nine, although that's about 20 years old now, and I'm not sure how well it'll have aged watching high school girls trying to form their own baseball team to go to Koshien when you're in your 30's and 40's :)

I'm a huge quality addict so tend to prefer newer shows!

Anyone watching Blue Lock very good. Not a Football fan but they sure know how to spice it up anime style. Very good. My favourite anime I am watching atm.

I was going to start watching Hunter x Hunter, though I am aware of how it's been in purgatory for a while now. Then I read the other day that the manga may be cancelled altogether? I have a few series which haven't had any conclusions (Guyver, Berserk), so I'm a bit hesitant to start it. Is it still worth following?

I liked it ended at a really good spot imo. I was reluctant at first as well.

I would like more though, but it's not like it's ending on a huge cliff-hanger, it feels like quite a natural breakpoint.

The 2011 anime 1000% worth it.

Blue Lock is episode 20/24 I think so I'll probably binge it in a few weeks!

April also brings us the new Demon Slayer which I'm hyped for!

Bit of a generic start but bare with it. It's brilliant once it gets going.

Watching Demon Slayer in Cineworld this weekend. Can't wait.

Alright I'll post about it here when I'm watching it.

Other football one I really liked was Ao Ashi but it's a lot more grounded.

I'm onto Season 4 of Haikyuu which is very good so far, Volleyball is a very intense game.

Blue Lock is intentionally OTT and its pretty crazy but really makes the characters stand out. I did watch the first few of Ao Ashi and it was alright nothing special imo but i am a bit bias :D

still binging my anime backlog.

Chainsaw man done and also Mob Psycho 100 (S1).

Going to plough through the rest of MP100, it's such a good time.

I'm managing about 2 episodes a day at the moment if i'm lucky:)
At the current rate, assuming I stop buying anime and don't start watching anything on streaming etc I reckon I'll have my backlog done in a couple of years :p

I'm actually watching the one with all the A's (Akira, Ai, Al, Alicia etc), which i'm really enjoying as it's such a relaxing anime but a lot of little details, and Spy X Family or Nagatoro.

I need to catch up spy family x. But I’m saving it for a pallet cleanser after something more heavy.

Problem is that (monster aside) recently all the shows I’ve been watching are dumb fun
