The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

Just started watching Attack on Titan, hooked now. My brother pre-warned me that in later seasons it doesn't hold up as well. But for now really enjoying it.

The most recent seasons suffer from being the final final final season, but I think the actual final season is coming soon, so you have picked a good time to get into it.

What I liked a lot about AoT is that there is a really good underlying mystery to work out as well, what are the characters motives? what is beyond the wall? where do the titans come from? that kind of thing.

The show does a really good job of drip-feeding you info that gradually reveals some of these mysteries, so you can theory craft a bit as well.

A lot of people wasn't a fan of season 2, which when I watched it when it came out, I wasn't really a fan of it but it makes perfect sense as it adds more depth and lore to the world.

I really enjoyed season 2, it started a little slow but a that's normal. Season 3 now and again it's a little slow to build but interesting.

I found the Manga to be quite a satisfying conclusion, I was really worried they'd mess it up but it worked for me. I'd like to watch the Anime of AoT but haven't gotten around getting an appropriate sub yet.

I've been watching Records of Ragnarok, I like it but I wish the pace was a little faster/the animation a bit better.

It's an entertaining watch at least.

This isn't really a spoiler, but there are (up to) 13 battles and it seems like it's not going to get anywhere near the end of this by the time the currently aired episodes are done.

The animation / art quality really put me off… same with Dr Stone

I know what you mean, iirc the manga isn't finished so the show catching up as it's released so as always the stretch it out a bit like all the shows which can be annoying.

Season 4 is made by MAPPA instead of Studio Wit like the others, so whilst it has a similar feel it's also a bit different.

Yeah personally I didn't like the change or the art but the production never had a choice. Never read the Manga at all but is all the latest stuff with the latest season main arc or made up from the studio.

Eren had a total change in personality since the switch in studio. We had him go through so many seasons of hell of trying save humanity but now he wants to exterminate it. Doesn't make sense. Did they get Rian Johnson for ideas . Lol :D

Mappa is a big studio but not up to their normal high standard seen from other shows imo.

Wanted to recommend if you haven't seen Princess Mononoke (movie). Watch it pretty decent if I recall correctly.
