The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

These arrived today.

Anime wise, I just finished watching Suzuka which a friend recommended me to watch, it's an romance anime with a background of Track and Field. 26 episodes all together.

Found it really enjoyable.

Have to admit I preferred the manga for the Suzuka than the anime ... character design was an awful lot better for a start ...

Well as always, the Manga is always bigger then the Anime series, I read a little into the Manga and how far it went into the story and it sounded good, it's a shame they match the Anime series fully, but that would had been 2 or 3 seasons.

I did think the Anime series did a good job at telling the story through and the OP/ED songs was done really well.

Well Eureka Seven Ao is starting to get interesting again :D

Last weeks episode had definite proof that this series is properly conencted to the original and now, this weeks episode had appearances by The Gekko, original Nirvash and Eureka. Very interesting stuff indeed.

Eureka Seven Ao seems to have been meandering a bit over the last few episodes but now it seems to be getting back into some substaintial plot development. Why can't next week come soon enough :(.

Just saw it, amazing ep indeed! raises questions too

Just watched the first episode of Sword Art Online via Crunchyroll. I thought the first episode was quite enjioyable and set things up rather nicely.

This is one of the summer shows that really interests me as I've played MMO's in the past, so I'm familiar with what to expect. It seems to have quite a dark premise tbh and the production values look pretty nice.

It seems like the type of show that could do really well. It's the type of story that could really resonate with allot of people as everyone uses the internet to communicate in todays day an age, with people who you've never met.

Looking forward to the next episode really, good stuff.

I keep hearing about a series called fullmetal alchemist and another one called brotherhood. Is brotherhood just a remake of the original. Ive looked into brotherhood and it does seem to get very good reviews.

Brotherhood is the remake/newer version, iirc the original series was done before the manga was finished, so goes off on a tangent (I've only seen the first half of Brotherhood and whilst it shared some story parts with the first series, they were different).

IIRC Brotherhood is coming out soon in a complete collection for around £50.

It's UK, up on various websites, and DVD only I'm afraid.

It turns out I was one of only about 20 people to buy the first two blu ray sets (about half the series), and Manga decided against releasing any more of it on Blu, even as a complete set.
Hence I've only seen about half of it:p

I've been very quiet recently as not really had chance to watch very much at all recently due to this and that going on.
Managed to watch a little more Toradora recently ;) and also am part way through Ef Tale of Memories with my brother :)

I preferred Brotherhood to the original. Manga had already dropped the BD release by the time I got around to getting it so I got the whole lot on region A in an Amazon sale for not very much ;)

Watched a few episode ones today (which were a bit of a mixed bag ... I'll post some opinions when i'm not trying to type badly on a tablet :().

I did watched the extended cut of the first episode of AKB0048 today.. A few nice additions (including Nagisa leaping in to the air which was in the OP but didn't actually make the cut of the broadcast episode) ... generally nice little add-ons. The disk extras were quite nice too including auditions for the parts amongst other things.

I'm thinking of ordering some light novels from Yes Asia. I noticed they have a free shipping offer for the UK. I was just wondering how good they are to use and how long thing usually take?

YesAsia have been fine for me although I do tend to find myself use PlayAsia or CDJapan over them. I normally compare the prices on all three before deciding, noting YesAsia customs cover if they are still doing it (it's been a while since I used them last).

Shipping time for all three, for me, is normall 2-3 weeks with standard airmail (not EMS)

YesAsia is still doing customs cover, and you can use the tracked SAL option on CDJapan to cut down the delivery time to about one week (just don't expect royal fail to ask for a signature when it's delivered).

Yeah i seen it for about £50 due out in august. So did you like it, will you be getting the whole collection?

I liked it, but probably won't be getting it on release.
Too many other pre-orders (including a load of non anime for August and September).
I'm sorely tempted by the Black Lagoon Blu's, but can't fit them into my disc budget at the moment.

Watched a lot of the new Anime's that are airing this season, have to say am really happy with them all.

Muv Luv seems to be as good as Blood C+ in the blood and gore in it.

Just about to finish Itazura na Kiss, really nice Anime, finished Suzuka in 3 days a few days ago, loved that Anime, need to find more like it now.
