I'm quite liking Sword Art Online so far. The pace is a bit different to the light novels in terms of the chronology. Volume 1 of the novels dealt with the main story while Volume 2 has all of the short stories, it looks like they're weaving the two in chronologically for the anime.
I quite liked the third episode, it's a very tragic story and sets the tone for the series nicely. The ending

.
I'm not familiar with the novels of the series but I agree that the latest episode was very good, and very sad. The female character did remind me of Haruka from Idolm@ster. I wouldn't say that I'm loving the series but I'm finding it reasonably good (I'm not a gamer so am not into the sort of thing they are portraying).
Kokoro Connect is turning out to be a nice surprise tbh. It's nice and easy to watch and the most recent episode took things in a bit of a darker direction. I think this could turn out beter than what people might have been thinking.
I thought the latest Kokoro Connect was very good as well. I thought they handled the dark issue quite well and added some painful humour to counteract it

After the first episode of this I wasn't overly impressed but my opinion has gone up as the series progresses.
I've kind of lost interest in Hyouka now. it's still nice and pretty to look at but it just seems to be meandering all over the place. I still don't know what it's trying to be. Is it trying to be a slice of life series, a mystery show or both? I'll keep watching it but it's kind of gone downhill in my expectations.
I'm still really enjoying Hyouka still ... there is a mystery going on in the background at the moment which I will expect will eventually come to the fore. I would agree that they are dragging the current situation out a bit. But I like slice-of-life series
Tari Tari, as Saitrix says, seems to be going along quite well with some interesting characters (you should always do what the hat-wearing, horse-riding, big-bosomed lesbian tells you ... or she will try and kill with you with a stuffed horse) and we are only starting to see some of the back story.
But the best thing I have watched this evening (other than that I am currently re-watching Chihayafuru) was the final episode of season 1 of AKB0048.
Now to get it out of the way from the start, yes the dance sequences animation method is not good. We've seen with series like the IdolM@ster that it is possible to animate group song and dance numbers well and what they have done here seems to be a cheap cop-out.
But that aside AKB0048 was a very good series overall. Yes it's about a group of (initially four) friends attempting to join a futuristic AKB48 so it helps if you are a fan of the group (I'm not particularly, I don't like some of their business practices) and music does play a big part in the series but there are also some really good sci-fi action elements, particularly in the last episode (always do what the girl with the belt fed missile launcher tells you to do). The characters are generally interesting and most of them do have back stories which have be mentioned to various extents. The sci-fi elements are good, consistent and well animated and some mysticism is thrown in too.
The series, whilst coming to an end, does leave a large number of unanswered questions concerning what will happen in the future and what has happened in the past. The broadcast also ended with an announcement that the anime will return next year ... and it will be interesting to see what happens next ...
