The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

Andarial, I always get talked down from "excessive" amounts of ram when building a machine (either because I decide to spend the money elswhere, or people trying to talk sense:p), and then regret it later on.
This time I'm aiming for 32, with 16 as a minimum:p

I'll probably look at a MR Blu later in the year, but for now I'm trying to cut back on DVD/Blu ray spending, which I can say with an almost straight face :)

Talkin of Blu-rays, I got Code Geass through earlier and spotted an error in the specs on the case, the back cover states it's got a running time of 288 minutes, but the slip cover states 625, which is almost certainly the correct running time given it's 25 episodes :)

Don't see how this is relevant, but if I had 32GB I'd designate 24 of them as a RAM drive and put my swap file on it! NO DRIVE-THRASHING WHATSOEVER! :p

That's the sort of mad idea i'd want to play with! ;P I'm actually thinking with 32gb I shouldn't really need much of a swap file ;)

Back on topic, I made a start on Code Geass this morning as I ended up in bed early last night, and I'm enjoying it so far (about 6 episodes in).
I'm not sure how much difference the Blu has over the DVD (especially as it's 2 disks for the series), but it looks nice an crisp.

Anyone watching Love Live?

Really enjoying this, it's a lot cuter then Lolim@ster and enjoying every minute of it. Love the OP and the insert songs are great. Has become my favourite Anime this season.

Seems my Rewrite Parka has arrived in the UK this Monday, I hope FU Customs don't get their thieving hands on it.

I've seen the first episode of Love Live which I thought was pretty reasonable, haven't had a chance to watch any more yet.

With second series of AKB0048 and Chihayafuru airing this season it doesn't have much of a chance of becoming my favourite :)

The third episode has a full insert song at the end, was awesome to watch on my projecter. :p

Ah~ AKB is in my back-log and I stalled in the first season of Chihayafuru. Will have to restart that if the 1080p's are available.

I just started to watch Da Capo 2, took almost half a year or so to finish Da Capo since I kept stalling in it and watching other stuff, I really felt that there was too many filler episodes but Da Capo 2 is pretty good so far, really enjoying it.

Hope to finish it soon so I can watch Da Capo 3 that is airing. :D

I think I've watched the first season of Da Capo, but the second season of it and both seasons of Da Capo II are still in the depths of my back log (as well the OVA(s)) .... so I might get to it sometime in 2015 at this rate ...

Rang up the Post Depot and found out that my Rewrite Parka is there with a custom charge of £19

Lovely, Jacket goes from £53 to £72 just like that.

I honestly would love to see HM Customs burn.

I'm currently awaiting the delivery of my Danny Choo Mirai Nendroid which I paid the charges on yesterday. I don't mind the actual customs charges so much as the admin charges part of the bill (for example my total bill here was £12.34 of which £8 was the admin fee) ... should be a percentage rather than a flat rate :(

I ordered that because I wanted the chance for the ticket to Japan, but things being tight right now, I let the order get cancelled.

Was going to sell it on anyway, don't like Nendroids.

Im watching Fafner on blu ray at the moment to tie me over till Gundam Unicorn Volume 6. 3eps to go. Starts off very slow when at about ep 15 to drops and LOAD of story which jump starts it. Everything is "ok" not bad but nothing uber great as well. 7/10.

The character being drawn like Gundam Seed ones (well it is the same designer after all) does not help matters

Fafner sounds good, will start watching that.

Thank you. :p

At £22 for the Blu ray box (one of the better upscale) I though it was worth a punt anyway. Least there a couple of shows that look good in the coming season.

I did watch the Hellsing Ulitmate vol10 the other day. Ends rather spectacular and sober way which is nice and fitting since its has taken 6 years to finish lol

Oooh, more Ghost is always good :D
I've had an itch to rewatch SAC for a few weeks since my MP3 player played "be human" and "lithium flower" whilst I was waiting for my dad at the doctors :)

...

There are also two guide book boxsets coming out in Japan too, one for each gig of SAC. The descriptions given are as follows:
Big deluxe book set from first season of "Ghost in the Shell" TV anime series by Production IG! Features setting and rough compilation (350 pages in the first book, B4 size), scenario (530 pages A5 Size), interview of Kenji Kamiyama (director), voice artists and animators with CD rom (300 pages in the third book!)
(The second set being same but for the second season). Each set is only 7000yen/£50 but the pre-order deadline is 7th March for a release date in May. The downside ... each set as being listed as 4.7kg with EMS/Fedex as the only shipping options as it to large for the others ... that's going to be expensive on top of the unit price. (Info from CDJapan)
