The anti Israel = anti semitism agenda

Can someone explain why 'the internet'/twitter seems appears be wholly on the side of Palestine in this complex conflict? Is it as simple as it just being the default left-wing position?

Taking recent events at face value, you have Israel launching air strikes, claiming to be targeting militants hiding in civilian areas, killing some innocents in the process. I'm inclined to believe that they aren't using very expensive laser guided bombs to deliberately target random pockets innocent people, for capitalist reasons if nothing else. Debatable collateral damage.

Then you have Palestinian militants launching a barrage of hundreds of unguided rockets at populous Israeli cities. The fact that this is happening is not debated at all, is akin to indiscriminately shooting a gun into a crowd of people, & undoubtedly fits the definition of a warcrime.

I think it depends where you are looking - open source intel, etc. channels have a tendency to be slightly through to very pro-Israel and the comments a mix of both.

Israel has a policy where possible of alerting before using heavy munitions on a building but it is neither perfect or always adhered to (sometimes for operational reasons) and the Palestinians have less potential to do that even if they wanted to.

But also these militant groups using civilians as human shields. Often only realised after an airstrike that they have stuffed them in the building. Intelligence is supposed to spot it but they don't 100% of the time.

Because the pervasive ideology that’s attempting to achieve cultural hegemony is that Jews occupy the peak of the privilege/oppressor hierarchy whilst using victimhood status as a shield to avoid being ‘held to account’ and that they’re evil colonialists living on ‘stolen land’.

I think this video clip explains it best.

You have Mike Tyson punching a baby and then claiming it’s because the baby spat at him. Yes both sides are wrong, but one has a lot more power than the other.

Israel is committing a slow genocide on Palestinians. They are essentially kept in an open air prison, with 70 % unemployment rate, no access to drinking water or and restricted outside aid. The media only covers it when they fight back and then it’s at most “both sides”. It is apartheid of the highest order. Slowly but surely Israel commits state sponsored land grabs using Israeli law to take Palestinian land and then acts like the victim when a rocket is fired at them, whilst killing a building full of children.

No one is saying Hamas are entirely innocent, but we are past the point of no return with the significant power balance and destruction being caused.

Jews are not Israel and vice versa.

Except 28 Palestinians (inc 10 children) were killed with Israel's "precision bombing" vs 2 Israelis, with the unguided rockets.

Israels response always seems massively disproportionate to me. Israel has the Iron Dome defense system which takes out 98% of rockets.

Israel just has the better hardware and defences so it always make them look worse.

Had Israel fired 170 rockets back then half of Gaza would be destroyed and probably thousands dead.

Wow this guy is like a robot.

"Do you condem hamas firing rockets?"

"What rockets?! Its all Israel!!"

"The rockets hamas fired?"

"But eviction from homes!"

"The rockets?"

"Its all nonsense"

Do you think he actually believes what he says?

Problem is those civilians were more often than not housed in the launch sites.
You can see the rocket launchers in built up urban areas launching, they use this as propaganda.

Just because they have iron dome means you don't attempt to knock out the launchers etc, if they wish to house there own civilians, willingly or not at launch sites or other areas that Israel will strike then that's not Israel's problem.

How much are those rockets etc they keep buying knowing they will do bugger all now iron dome is around etc? Why launch them as well, they are not going to do much? Because they know they can suffer civilian casualties in return and pin the evil tail on Israel, clever stuff.

Yes obviously if Israel didn't have the iron Dome then, there would be a lot more deaths.

But the reason Palestinians fired 400+ rockets is that they know only about 20 would get through.

I doubt they would fire that many if every rocket was guaranteed to hit something.

Who is "they" and surely it does matter if the civilians are unwillingly having these launchers installed on rooftops.

If somebody that you knew, had no choice, but it lead to the death, I don't think you would be so blasé about it.

They blew up that block because it 'had' a Hamas office in it. Nothing to do with a launch site.

Sounds like things will be kicking off again tonight :s

EDIT: Multiple launches both ways and some big explosions (not all intercepts) - no details yet.

They would nuke if it they could get their hands on one. That's part of why Iran is trying to be stopped.
