Personally I don't see why Israel shouldn't defend their country with any means at their disposal, but they also shouldn't be the ones poking the figurative hornets nest and then deciding to bomb it when the hornets attack
That’s not what he’s said though is it? He has acknowledged the rocket attacks but put them in context. Maybe watch the video again and actually try and pay attention to what he is saying.

So it contained high ranking officials, probably responsible for co ordinating the attacks or similar, either way it's a target, you don't go launching hundreds of missiles and assume you're safe because you managed to sit your arse in a civilian block, as I said, easy propaganda if they do get hit and provide easily led people like yourself to stick up for them.
They are not going to waste a missile that costs a hell of a lot to damage ' just an office block ' and kill civilians.
At least they attempt to use precision strikes, Hama's have fired indiscriminate mass area strikes ( still be targeting a specific area but with a much larger kill box, great for targeting rear guard areas and mass troop concentrations), luckily they have iron dome or the figures in Israel would be higher than the Hama's casualties.

Any official quotes from the IDF on the nature of the office block or how many were killed inside as a result?
Only thing I can find that's official from the IDF is that they were targeting Hama's officials and those in the rocket launching business.

I think this is a big factor in the problems facing Isreal and Palestine.
50% of Isrealis and dogs it seems are fairly rational and the other 50% are a bit extreme.

I'm not defending Israel for its awful settlement programme or that video I commented on, however I am defending a country that is going to defend itself, hamas did not need to launch the rockets, they already had the press etc on side with what happened.
Neither side is innocent in all this and it will never end.

Firing rockets just means a hell of a lot more dead Hamas and Palestinian civilians and a few dead IDF.
All this ' they get what they deserve ' emboldens the hard line Israeli elements even more, willing to take land to push the danger/ buffer zone further back, rinse and repeat everytime.
You really should think of becoming some sort of strategist with your amazing insights and long term thinking.

They arent defending themself by blowing up a building they have told everyone to leave. The dome thing is defense, attacking launch sites before or during a rocket launch is defenses. What they do most of the time is not defense.
They already had the press on side. Really? Im sure that will help them.
