"Israeli forces shot a 12-year-old Palestinian girl with a rubber-coated steel bullet at her home near Sheikh Jarrah"(Predominantly Palestinian Neighbourhood in Eastern Jerusalem) "The incident happened as Israeli forces cracked down on Palestinians taking part in nationwide strikes against Israel’s bombing of Gaza."

He makes great points. One of these points is in regard to they way people complain about the disproportionate loss of life.

Israel builds shelters to protect their people and Palestinians build tunnels to carry out terror attacks and kidnap Israelis.

Should Israel be blamed for successfully defending its population when they are attacked?

How about not stealing land in the first place and not instigating the actual god damn fighting.....

How about don't say and act like you are going to destroy Israel?

Six-Day War in 1967 Reshaped the Middle East (thoughtco.com)
  • June 1967 war between Israel and Arab neighbors changed the map of the Middle East and transformed the region for decades.
  • Egypt’s leader, Nasser, vowed to destroy Israel in May 1967.
  • Combined Arab nations massed troops to attack Israel.
  • Israel struck first with devastating air raids.
  • Ceasefire ended conflict after six intense days of fighting. Israel gained territory and redefined the Middle East.
  • Casualties: Israeli: approximately 900 killed, 4,500 wounded. Egyptian: approximately 10,000 killed, unknown number wounded (official numbers never released). Syrian: approximately 2,000 killed, unknown number wounded (official number never released).

Yeah I don't know which sid eto take tbh, youtube shows both sides of the divide this time to me unlike the trump smear campaign lol. pally people have a right to defend themselves of course but what's caused the war? what started it? are their no dead babies on the Israel side? which side has attacked other countries and in thename of what etc...it's a very conflicted debate where you can't just agree with everything from the one side of the argument war and what have you and so forth.

When discussing disputed land, it usually boils down to who picks what point on the historical time line.

what's the actual truth about jewish people kicking pally people out of their homes? I was shocked to see it when youtube showed me one video but that could have been like a hitler anti jew propaganda vid as I have no real view and evidence other than that...I dunno, so i'm staying out of it lol

Even when you delve into the facts it is impossible to choose a side as both the Israeli government and Hamas treat the people of Gaza inhumanely.

Hamas forcibly control Gaza and exploit its people.

The Israeli government treats the majority of Palestine with contempt and violates their human rights, regardless of whether they are members of Hamas.

The foundation of Israel was contentious and debatably nefarious.*

The occupation by Israel has (indirectly or directly) created extremist control.

Hamas fight for the liberation of all Palestinian people.

If we bring religion in also, in Judaism the land was left to the descendants of Abraham, of which Judaism follow Isaac, although ironically Islam follows Ishmael.
[I'm not sure follows is the right word, but it's late and I'm tired]

The Palestinian civilians take the brunt of the suffering.

There is no "right" side to choose except for human rights, and currently the consistent land grabs and mistreatment of Palestinian people by Israel is the greatest violation - although the exploitation of their own by Hamas in Gaza has previously been close to par.

*The fundamentals behind the founding can become quite conspiratous (I think I made up a word) when looked at from the outside and understanding the nature of all involved. A destabilised region can hold no true strength.

Up to you if you think wikipedia is impartial or not, but this is some background
Israeli settlement - Wikipedia

I never go to wiki as it can be edited by anyone.
msm only show one side too as with everything...it's ahrd to pick the truth out of the crud only the virtue people accept what they are told from soucres who cater to them

I mean I'm normally quite sceptical about things in general, but I'm more than happy to go along with the notion that even if 2% of things on wikipedia are incorrect or maliciously misleading (and I doubt it's anywhere near that), then that means it's still very good as a general information source.

Of course for important or specialist issues you need to look at properly published material, but even then wikipedia will have a page that can point you towards that most of the time.

I mean, the UN and the international court of human rights all say that they are committing war crimes by doing it, so I don’t think it’s random propaganda.... check the sources Wikipedia are citing.

Purposely massacring civilians is not 'defending yourself'

Sam Harris states 'most Israeli Jewish are not guided by scripture and that's a very good thing'. Yet government ministers use the Old Testiment as justification for evicting and seizing land of Palestinians to this day.

Sam Harris characterises a 'defensive war'. Yet Israel have a constant occupying force in Gaza, they started evicting people prior to escalations and then they started shooting prior to any. These are all war crimes. Israel constantly opresses Palestinians.

He then states 'because Israel can kill as many civilians as they want means they don't intend to kill civilians'. Really? There's masses of evidence contradicting this sentence

As for Hamas, they aren't representive of all Palestinian. Hamas have had vile ideologies but they a protest group. Protesting the invasion of their land. People who join them are desperate because their families have been massacred and their land and houses have been seized from them.

The suicide bombing he mentions is someone irrelevant today as there have only been 2 in the last 11 years
