The Apprentice - Series 8

I thought Adam was guaranteed to go. But Nick's word has some weight, and didn't expect him to say that.

Will be interesting to see who gets fired.

We get to see them butchered next week :D.

Again, disappointed Steven won't be part of it :(.

It's been easily the poorest series I've watched so far, and I think that mainly comes down to the applicants. Ideally you want them all to provoke a strong reaction from you, either you really like them or very much dislike them, that's what makes good tv I think. Having stronger characters also makes clashes more likely and more explosive when they do happen. Unfortunately, the bunch from this year have been able to pull little above complete indifference from me, and by the sounds of it most viewers.

I'll still give it another shot next time, hopefully they learn from their mistakes and have people on the show that are actually entertaining to watch. Perhaps their hands were tied this year because it's a business proposal rather than a job, so could only choose from people whose business plans didn't fall to pieces under minor scrutiny.

Can't wait to see what this "you don't own the website" thing is all about.

Me and my girlfriend were talking about this yesterday and that is they seems to lie or not tell the truth what so ever on their CVs a lot! Even for really basic things which any employer would pick up on and it's not because they're being really scrutinized and looked at in depth by being on The Apprentice, just basic and simple stuff. Makes me wonder if it's just for TV.

I think quite a bit of it these days is for entertainment value over anything else.

"The Brand" (TM) was on BBC Breakfast the other day and he appeared quite normal (humble even)

Judging from the clip of the final show, I think they've basically shown the winner.

My money is on Tom. Why?

They sit down in one brief shot, then sugar effectively points at 2 of them, fires them and then turns hard to his right (Tom's position) and says "you're hired". Much more blatant than usual.

Also, Is it just me or does anyone else notice how little Nick has done? Every task he blends in to the background and complains that everyone is "doing it wrong" but never takes charge himself. Ultimate weasel.

Yeah I noticed that as well, but I thought they did a 'fake' one after the first few series having that being real and spoiling it for people.
