The Apprentice - Series 8

Could see Adam getting annihilated in the interviews, probably for the best he went when he did.

Also noticed for the first time this week when they roll out the "I'm the reflection of perfection" clip from Ricky, you can see him struggling not to laugh at the end of his delivery. I'm actually pretty fed up with those soundbites and one-liners they record now, everyone knows they are staged to make people look as arrogant as possible, and they started getting old a few series ago.

Got a link for that? Youtube or something? I'd be interested to see it.

Aaaah, but would you be able to put in the theatrics and put on a show for the audience? That's what makes a good wrestler and he seems to be pretty good at that (going by the video).

I think tonight we're going to see them get slaughtered beyond anything we've seen in past seasons. As embarrassing as these episodes always are, they're still my favourite, although I'm always a little uncomfortable with the grilling they get. It is a tv show, and doing it this way definately makes for the best tv, but the level of aggression they receive from the interviewers is about as unprofessional as you could ever get really. Can't imagine many real world interviews going like that.

Indeed.

I think if a candidate did meet such an unprofessional interviewer, he would probably turn down the job, even if it were offered.

The worst was when a candidate (I think it was Stuart Baggs), offered a handshake to the interviewer (which is standard procedure in virtually all interviews) and the interviewer declined his hand-shake. That was shocking.
