The ASRock thread [support/feedback/etc]

man these things are flaky, reset it and entered the exact same settings again and i get 1674 in cinebench now.... right not touching it again :)

2.34 im getting 1741-1744 in cinebench R15 at 3.9 with 3466 RAM, havent tested at 3600 yet.

As i told - its pstate bug, when CPU freeze at same Pstate doesnt matter what u do. When u rebooting this Pstate reset and they changing again under load. So b4 u ran benches at 2.2 for example (depends of yr pstate settings) and now at 3.85

datonyb, 2 sticks single rank b-die 8GB each. This BIOS still dont have command rate settings, so i cant try 2T for higher clock :(
hiya mate ive just read a PM to me over on asrock support forum from a helpful guy called tooqik
basically he reads this forum but hasnt registered as hes in OZ

he asked me to tell you there is command rate setting in new beta bios
but its in a different place heres the path he sent me to pass onto yourself

Advanced/AMD CBS/UMC Common Options/DDR4 Common Options/DRAM Controller Configuration
there you will find command rate auto/2t/1t

yeah running it now :) mem back down to 3466 but at cl14 will play more later need to go out :(
yay now running 3600 cl14 ..changed nothing cept took mem voltage to 1.42...

Actually i see nothing on this picture. Can u upload better image?
btw easy to boot at 3600, but hard to pass memtest. Did u pass it with 1.42? I bumped voltages more for 3600 CL14

Yea ik that, but in 2.34 those settings not accessible. Maybe they added it properly in 2.36?

I just upgraded to 2.36 and installed 4x8GB of G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3200C14 RAM and it recognizes all 32GB but only running at 1866Mhz. Same as before.

Edit: I also have an issue that when I enable XMP 2.0 and select 3200 or 3333 that my PC will power on and off again 3 or 4 times before it successfully boots.

Sounds like it's doing memory training where you start at lower frequencies and work up.

Hi,to all.
I am new owner of taichi/R5 1600.Im not lucky with silicon lottary.i only managed 3.85 with 1.38.At 4 ghz even with 1.45 i get black screen instant, soc 1.125.offset/llc level 1.Even in bios i get freeze.i m with latest 2.36.i successful run 2933 my g skill aegis 3000 since 2.30 which i flash first time. With 2.34 i got first at 3066 with soc 1.1,ddr 1.40.command rate 1T.when i change to 2T it doesnt apply, still been in 1T always in both bioses 2.34-2.36.Also p state oc is problematic.3400/3500/3600/3700 etc does not work ,only with clocks like 3425/3450 etc.i have ryzen power profil with minimul core 20%.in 2.34 when i set 3066 mem it was display 2133 but run 3066 in 2.36 fixed.I think with 2.36 i get more difficult to oc memory ,get stable, with 2.34 i got 3200 with loose timings, soc 1.125,ddr4 1.425 with 2.36 i get training fail get back to 2133.Mixed feelings about my new setup i was expecting more performance going from fx8320.Sorry for my english, not my native language.

ryzen 5 have average worse OC than ryzen 7 - tested many times. Many ryzen 5 owners report that they cant even achieve 3200 RAM with samsung b-die. And 3.9 max CPU clock seems to be very common too.
My mobo a same dont have access to CR2, so its not my case actually, but bug. Same for CL11/13/15/17/19. How can u get similar performance against 8320? ryzen 7 have 2.4 more performance against 8320, so in yr case it should be more than x1.5 boost

I've got my R5 1600 at 3.8Ghz 1.3v, I haven't tried a lower voltage yet.

I'm using Gskill Ripjaw 3600 17-18-18-38 memory. I can boot into windows using the XMP profile at 3466 but it doesn't last very long. Currently running 3200 with 14-14-14-36 which seems stable :)

I my gpu bottleneck 290x,so i have the same fps in most games.only in dirt i got huge boost,in batman mins improved from 48 to 60.Yes i have improvement but not a huge spent 630€ replacing major parts.Yes with same money i would get a gtx1080 getting most from fx8320 in 1440p

in my case need to use DRAM voltage 1.37 or above for 3333+ and SOC 1.15 or above. If u want it stable

Thanks, will try later :)

Which is max safe value for Soc?

i believe with better memory i will not have problem cos with 2.34 i got 3200 with G.Skill DIMM 16 GB DDR4-3000 Kit, ( F4-3000C16D-16GISB ) is in support list of taichi i got it 120euro,its hynix for sure,b-die are very expensive hitting 200 in greece.I want kfa2 3600 but i could not find in Eu at the time i orderd.Oc cpu is sensitive with memory also, maybne i will try 4ghz with 2133 ghz fist, cos i tried with 2933 and with any vcore i applied i got freeze.

soc .. 1.2 is as far as I've gone .. pushed dram to 1.55 trying to get 3800 .. din't work :(

now heres a question for others out there ..
is there any advantage to run oc in p state ?? atm I'm at 4ghz 3600mem .. the old way ..
