The ASUS Rampage V Extreme Thread

Right NVM.

For some reason AB see's mice cpu temps really low.
Realtemp matches the OC panel I've just plugged in.

So it's just afterburner being annoying, damn I thought I'd bought the best 5930k in the world :(

Loving this board, my first non Gigabyte board in 15 years so getting my head round the bios will take a little time. Really loving some of the features. So many buttons on it. I particularly like Keybot.
Pressing DEL when the PC is off and it goes straight into bios is awesomesauce.

This board is supposed to run @ 16/8/8 but instead it's running 16/8/4?

Which slots are you using?

If you're using the black slot to space out your 3 graphics cards it's only PCIe 2.0 x4.

For PCIe 3.0 x16 or x8 you have to use the red slots but the bottom red slot is reduced to x4 if you use the M.2 connector (with a 40 lane CPU).

Ah thanks, i'm using slot 1 3 and 5, nothing on the M.2 connector, and 5930k.

Looks like i'll need to put waterblocks on :)

Got a mate in the computer parts business and he's telling me that ASUS are still advising not to use this board in stock system builds because the BIOS is still not working right, any more info on this?

Yeah right, ASUS telling 'computer parts' people not to use their flagship model. Totally reasonable and logical.
