3 hours of software fixing and pixel is staying stuck or dead. Lovely that this monitor is I just don't think I can make the switch from the Dell U3014. Yes it is a different world in FPS but I'm kinda pants at FPS shooters and not even 144hz Gsync can change that :o).

Gibbo, Now for a monitor of this price, I expect zero defect, as in no dead / stuck pixels etc.
If a monitor that has this - it iss dead to me and I won't use it and would expect an exchange.

What is OCUKs stance on this as an RMA and is the warranty handled for the first year by you or Asus?

On this monitor I completely agree, ROG absolute flagship and for this one model we will make clear exception and if anyone still has stuck/dead pixel after three days usage we will accept it is faulty and arrange replacement at no cost to the customer.

The customer has the choice to deal with OcUK or Asus for the entire three year period.

So what we are offering here is above and beyond any competitor, not to mention I'm still here answering your questions at near midnight, dedication! ;)

^ OcUK, simply the best!

I wouldn't dismiss G-Sync because you don't like FPS.
It has made a world of difference to the way I play The Golf Club and you can't get much more slow paced than that!

I still love my IPS screens for the image quality, nothing beats the 34" LG in my opinion but gaming on the Asus with G-Sync or ULMB is fantastic!

So it seems that I am having some problems with my Swift, I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone can help me out with solving them.

The first game I tested was Battlefield 4 (single player - mission on the aircraft carrier), the gameplay was very smooth except for stuttering/hitching in certain places which was pretty annoying, apart from that it was fine, image quality was good. I should note I was playing at ultra settings everything maxed out except for AA at 2xMSAA at 2560x1440 with G-Sync on and the monitor at 144Hz.

Next I went onto test the game I play primarily - PlanetSide 2. Here the problems became much more apparent, with G-Sync still enabled and the monitor still set at 144Hz I experienced heavy stuttering and also lots of flickering in-game. I switched G-Sync off and re-entered the game but I still experienced lots of stuttering but no/very-little flickering.

After this I tried 144, 120 and 60 with G-Sync on and off in all cases but I still experienced lots of stuttering and sometimes heavy flickering with all of these different scenarios. Also, the image quality in PlanetSide 2 seems significantly worse than it looks on my Dell U2713HM - for example, the image seems a lot more pixelated especially when looking at long ranges and when looking up at the sky.

Evidently this situation is not good at all, does anyone know what I can do from here?

Jumped on the Swift bandwagon and received it yesterday but got a weird problem. It's happened with two applications so far, first was the G-Sync Pendulum demo and then The Crew beta. I launch the application and the monitor LED turns orange and my PC reboots. Never happened in the past with my old monitors. Anyone experienced anything similar. Interestingly I tried to run the Crew with G-Sync disabled and got an error message to say the application had stopped working.

Edit: Have just tried the Pendulum Demo with G-Sync disabled and the demo ran fine but when I clicked on G-Sync in the demo it wouldn't enable G-Sync mode.

Further Edit: Also just noticed that the turbo button is not responding consistently this morning. I'm sure last night I could change the refresh rate on the fly using the turbo button instantaneously. This morning it seems to be working very intermittently, sometimes taking several presses to change and sometimes just not working at all.

The last part about the application has stopped working i get as well on a normal monitor. The funny part is the game will after a while launch by itself anyway..

Have you tried with VSync both enabled and disabled in-game?

Ordered at 18:20 last night, dispatched in about half an hour and received at 1000 this morning. Awesome fast service. OCUK has blown everyone else out of the water with distributing this product launch.

3 day zero dead pixel and 3 years warranty without having to deal with ASUS is the icing on the cake.

Well done!

I'll get some snaps uploaded when I get it installed later on this evening.

Must be a lack of comms at the moment. I contacted OCUK earlier with regards to the 3 day dead pixel policy, explained that I had ran the software fix for 12 hours straight and it wasn't shifting. As a teacher I return to work on Monday so was hoping could get this sorted asap but the reply I received was

"Dear Chris Whitney,

thank you for your webnote.

Unfortunately this monitor is not provided with a zero dead pixel warranty. So you would be unable to return the monitor for a replacement.

You are still within the 14 day DSR period were you are legally entitled to return any product as unwanted for a full refund.

Would you like to proceed under DSR?"

So I rang and have now had to drop a note on the customer support sections of the forums. Seems I may have to DSR this one and buy another one on my CC and do the whole refund thing
