I guess there is always DSR, i really want to purchase (hovering over purchase button), but if i see a dead pixel i will wish i never got it.

That's how I feel. Coming from the Dell 30" which was dead pixel free it's so annoying.

Does DSR work if the box has been opened? (which it would have been)

Yeh I'm 99% sure. As long as you have not lost or damaged anything of course.

Yes of course, we say it because they can become unstuck after a few days usage.

Yes our technical department was only informed of the update a little while ago. So our apologies, they are now updated.

AAA ok, i misunderstood the logic a bit. So if after how long it develops any pixel issues (and it had remained for longer than 3 days) can it be replaced then?

Yes, but limited to 28 days, I shall update our disclaimer online. Dead pixels normally manifest instantly or within days/hours.

also, try a clean installation of the latest GPU drivers and download the monitor driver from asus.

i had some issues like non working turbo button etc. until i did a clean driver installation.

Not bothered to download the asus driver and working flawlessly here. Would however advise to download the latest nvidia drivers if you have not already.
