The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

People are saying OcUK must deal with it, but they could do so by making you ship it back to them, sending it to Asus themselves, and sending you back the refurb they get.

That's why i don't tend to trust what Sin says ;)
If you've bothered to read his posts, you'll know hes a whiner.

OCUK do have to deal with it, the problem is we're only getting 1 persons bias report on what's been said. Gibbo reads these threads all the time, i'm sure he'll come in here a say what's what and why soon enough.

Its a bit harsh on sin, I see a lot of moaning it all blends into one sometimes.

If an issue, post on cs forum/phone - if unresolved/unhappy then escalate, to date after escalation any problem has been resolved quickly.

Like I said, luck of the draw - sometimes you get someone who wants to help, other times they couldn't give a ****.

I'm not going to do OcUK a disservice by screenshotting what has been said in their CS section. Nor do I feel I should have to in order to verify what I have been told.

Seriously, gibbo has put his email in the threads a few times. If* what they said was that bad then bring it to his attention or trust 5ub, end of the matter then. But if you are refusing to escalate it or challenge it, then you are actually part of the overall problem and not allowing them another crack at resolving it. Stop posting here and try to get a doorstep exchange...etc

I wish I could. But it's either deal with ASUS as told to or burn the money and throw the item in the bin.

This is the outcome of my previous attempts to deal with ASUS's CS/RMA... http://aten-hosted.com/images/DSC00524S.jpg one of the reasons I was hoping someone else would come out with a 1440p 120+Hz panel but in the end I couldn't wait any longer :S

Mines August 2014 also (no problems... so far...) :S I was wondering previously if the gsync module has sufficient cooling could be why this problem is happening.

You don't have to wish, you have made no effort to get one of the guys mentioned to look at your case.

Starting to see what tonester meant, your not helping yourself at all here.

Your not understanding this whole escalation thing are you.

Don't be fobbed off, you seem to be showing remarkable resilience on these forums, apply 1% of that to actually dealing with this properly and you would have a new monitor by the weekend.

You have been told by several people what aveunes to try, do something about it.

Think mine failed with the same fault, someone posted a pic of it gawd only knows how many pages ago.
Horizontal (as opposed to the vertical) line issue where every x rows you get a line across the screen and text on either side is blurred and distorted.

Had to rma with Asus and got a replacement after a couple weeks. Got lucky that I got a brand new unit, guess the refurbs hadn't been patched up yet!

edit: replacement's been fine btw! Great monitor. Just makes me wonder if it'll still be working fine in a years time...

This thread is very worrying for prospective buyers of this monitor and other products in general from ocuk.

I have always seen brilliant responses from the likes of Gibbo about rma's and sorting problems but this seems to have gone downhill....

i thought the same was my my first pick but now thinking differently

It is a shame, i love the monitor, once you have gamed on it everything else feels inferior even if it is TN!

Just been using an Iiyama XB2776QS-B1 27" IPS and it is one of the finest screens I have ever seen.

Great for a static pictures to which TN cannot touch it.....However, play a game after on IPS now (after using the Asus Rog) and the motion blur makes me physically ill now!

Now that my RMA is on its way back to OCUK and I see they have got new stock, I did something I thought I would not do, I bought another one.
Sufficed to say my credit card looks very damaged right now until all these returns go through....

Far Cry 4 is about to be released and I have been spoiled for life by gaming on the Asus Rog (until future monitors take its place)

Can't blame you one bit - even coming from a long history of 120Hz panels I was impressed with the clarity and responsiveness of the swift in game so will be very sad if there are inherent issues with the monitor.
