The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

Considering one of these in B grade...my only concern is the short warranty, not sure the saving will be worth it in the long run.

Could also turn up with light damage aswell couldn't it? As long as it doesn't effect performance theres nothing "wrong" with it...

Physical damage puts me off or Id probs get one too.

Managed to get my swift plugged in last night, played a few games of CS:GO, BF:4 and LoL.

The monitor is amazing. no flaws found so far in regards to it being a *B* grade purchase.

I would recommend grabbing one!

Sorry could someone help me out please? Too lazy to look through 100+ pages :(

Looking for a G-sync monitor, is there any problems/faults with this monitor? are there better alternatives or should I wait for something big thats coming out?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

This is the best gaming monitor available right now, but that may change shortly due to new models being released. The price of this may fall soon when new monitors hit the market.

I bought mine a month ago because I wanted the best and I wanted it now. :D

It's the usual dilemma really.

What gpu will you be using with this?

How soon of a price cut do you think ? And these new monitors coming soon are they worth waiting for?

At the moment i have one 980 whivh should be enough no? Have plans for another but not right now with those prices.

Will run great with a 980.

You have an Acer one coming out in a few months but really why wait, something new is always just around the corner.

This monitor is currently the best available by some distance, it's expensive but worth it.

Has been some issues that are documented here, but like everything, products fail and you just swap it.

Oh BTW, being Asus and still an in demand item with very little competition, the price won't tank as you put it untill a lot more options are available

Con man, use a bit of common sense, of course 2 x 970 will be fine. Are people really splashing this kinda cash without reading anything about gsync...

Divine, just that it doesn't work/powerup/screen distorted.... Etc.... A risk you have with pretty much every purchase you make your entire life.

No higher failer rate than anything else. Just more disappointment for those that dropped 700 quid on something that didn't work perfectly. First world problems...etc..

Its a great monitor, buy it and enjoy it. If it doesn't work, its a delay of a few days while it gets swapped.

Any monitor can have issues.

Had mine since release and has been flawless.

I disagree. My 980 plays some games maxed at as low as 45fps at times, and while G-Sync keeps it smooth the VRAM can go North of 3.5gb so those 970s might get unplayable. And then there's the games that don't support SLI...

Well I run everything maxed without issues on 2 x 780. I used to run on a single, turning only few settings down, looked almost as good

Again, some common sense can be applied when setting up games and also depends what games, some are coded poorly and run like crap regardless.

If you can't have a good experience with your setup then your doing something wrong.

Vram, lol. I'm out.

A 780 is not a 970, and you can lol if you like but when the Vram goes over 3.5gb those 970s will have problems.
