Cheers thanks will give them a call when I get home. Just concerned that it's just going to randomly die being on so much =/

So a few people on various forums are reporting that when opening up GPU-Z when the monitor is set to 144Hz has this weird flicker which is an early sign it will fail, It doesn't happen at any other refresh rate though, Example here, Ignore the bottom of the videos funky colours, Starts at 35 seconds in -

Mine does that when I change OC profile presets in Afterburner.

Isn't this just normal GPU related anomalies?

I'm hoping so but a guy on the ROG forums said his was doing this and then it died a few weeks after.

A few other people I know do not have this flicker when opening up GPU-Z

*UPDATE*

Turns out a heavy overclock on your GPU can cause this.
I returned my 980 to stock clocks and this problem completely went away.

Well, fair play to Asus, credit where credit is due... RMA now complete. Replacement monitor now received and faulty one collected.

Fairly sure the replacement is a refurb, unless they're packing new models into recycled packaging - the box has certainly seen better days with all the holes and dents it has in it, there was not any protective foam bag around the screen, plus there were no leads etc!!

I did as instructed though and let them just take the monitor without any leads, and the Courier just placed the faulty model back in old faithful (the recycled packaging) and took it away.

Hopefully all will be well with my replacement, plus my 2nd screen... time will tell I guess.

As stated though, fair play to Asus for a swift turn around.

Those that have RMA'd their monitor, can you tell me what you need for RMA do you need the original invoice? or can it be arranged just on the serial number etc?

Note: im not currently having any issues with mine just wondering as i cant seem to find my invoice from OCUK.
