The Asus ROG SWIFT PG278Q – a 27” 1400p 144Hz Monitor with G-SYNC

Ok I had a good Google and this isn't as uncommon as I thought, solutions I've found (this issue appears prominent on amd cards using the swift)...

Clean Windows install: bug derived from upgrading os from 8.1 to 10.

Clean out of all gpu related programs, afterburner etc... Then ddu and download latest drivers via gfe.

New dp cable or dp cable Incorrectly connected.

I'll keep searching, can you pop your 980ti back in, go to bios and then tell me what the refresh rate in bios is?

On the rig in sig, windows install is about a week old, recently built this setup. Currently has win 7 for os, was on win 10 until I stripped out my Z87 parts. The x58 rig in which the 650 is used is running win 10. Don't even get an image on it at boot. Can hear windows loading but that's it.

If you continually press Delete can you enter bios and it eventually comes up or doesn't it show at all?

Shows nothing at all, be it trying to enter bios or safe mode. That's on the old x58 machine. On the 5820k setup, it gets into windows fine, flickers a lot until the login screen. Good stable image in windows. But uninstall the driver and the screen just goes black.

Can you get into the bios on x99+swift? I'm leaning towards dp cable, I'm sure I read of people having issues with the supplied cable on release.

Have you tried other dp ports on the gpu too? Think you should have 3 of them.

Also what refresh options do you get if you set the res to 1080?

Mine was bought second hand Dice mate, so no idea how that will work. Seller has been excellent with advice and help. Obviously I cant say on here where or whom I bought it as I'm sure you can understand. Id love to get it running or if need he replaced, fantaselooking monitor, and I gotta say for a TN panel it has a nice image. I don't like ips screens, too used to va type panels. Which are very uniform in image quality, in the swift the vertical angles show up a lot of colour shift. Whereas on my 8 year old benq, the image stays the same vertically or horizontally. The company that brings out a va panel with gsync will have my money in a heartbeat.

My monitor has just started doing the dreaded not staying powered up. Unplug for 20 seconds and plug back in works fine.

Can we RMA just the PSU as it seems ASUS are problematic with swapping out just the PSU.

Monitor is perfect in other respects, just not staying powered after shut down is annoying.

Just to update this, I got an RMA from ASUS and they sent me a replacement power brick direct from Let Me Repair (UK).
It's working fine & stays powered on all the time.

Took about 2 weeks from start of RMA to me receiving replacement.

Suck eggs time

Latest Nvidia driver?

DP input selected
DP 1.2 selected on the monitor?

DP works on your other monitor

So this is all you get in windows?

New cable arrived and tested on the swift. Still nothing. Connected the system to the tv via HDMI to get into os, swift still connected but not showing up at all in windows monitor settings or nvcp. Just stays at a blank screen.
