Is that switched on ? Looks like a standby light thats on at the bottom right.
Yes, the red light indicates Gsync enabled

You will get backlight bleed on any monitor, and seeing as both use similair panels from au optronics, (who benq own). In all likelihood there will be people who own the freesync model who have backlight bleed issues. It's simply luck of the draw.My thoughts exactly.
My friend has one of these monitors, he regrets it immensely due to the horrible backlight bleed, really distracts in dark movies etc.
He's considering selling it and moving to AMD, now that he saw my BenQ XL2730Z with absolutely no backlight bleed
My monitor has developed a fault. The Ausus won't power on with the pc. Did a factory reset which did nothing and I have to unplug the monitor from the pc and the power supply, connect it all back up to get it to work. This happens each time I either power off the pc or do a reset.
I have completed the rma form.
Would this be potentially a power supply problem? I'm not to keen on replacing an otherwise great monitor if all I need is a new power supply.
And it still working great...I bought this PSU off ebay a few weeks ago and now my monitor is working great again..

I thought I would give Asus a call and ask instead of replacing the monitor could they not just send out a new power supply. Basically they said that they can not exchange the supply as its not covered. To which I said it is covered I have a 3 year on site warranty. He replied we do not send out power supplies
If I do have dodgy power supply can I assume that it will still cause problems with a replacement?
If it is a dodgy power supply what will replacing the monitor do?
Tbh id just suffer the hit and buy an aftermarket psu. You could end up getting a worse monitor than the one you have by getting a replacement. Shame that the customer has to resort to this though.
I have the failing psu and after a being told Asus don't send out replacement PSU's I agreed with a replacement Panel. The new Panel has been replaced and I can report that it has made not one blind bit of difference.
I have spoken to ASUS again and they are going to send another monitor. I stated the logical thing to do would be to also replace the PSU but again they are not allowed to send out PSU
I will give them one more chance to sort this problem before contacting overclockers again as my contract is with them and not ASUS.
