I enabled these on mine, did the 5way optimization and nearly had a heart attack as it kept going past 10Ghz! lol had to reset it and its ended up at 4.4 stable, it wasnt really getting to 10ghz tho just a bug somewere but hey for a few mins i thought i had a good chip.
 
For those with memory problems.. i had troubles after mucking around with my water block, was only showing 2 of the dimms working giving 8gig , all i had to do to fix it was reseat the cpu and its been fine on all 4 dimms ever since, dont think any pins bent but something wasnt right until after i had given it a wiggle.
 
Any word if BIOS 1004 has corrected the compatibility issue with the STX Essence sound cards?

Considering updating to it, on 0801 currently and have no issues, but I've got an unpacked STX II and need some feedback.

Yes! I went for the samsung XP941 256GB. I had to unplug all my other storage drives before it was recognised in the bios though.

The Samsung is available for £25 more if you look around and is marginally faster but that one will do the job. There is a deluxe for sale in the MM at a good price if you're quick.

I only found Samsung on 2 sites 1 I never heard of and the other I have had bad luck with .. Trust OCUK more
 
Ordered this board today hopefully ill not have an issue

With the bios update does the MB come with update software or do i need to download direct from asus?

I have a xonar d2x Soundcard I'm assuming this won't work until i update and on this board which slot would be best for it after i have installed the 2 x 980s?

not sure what bios you will get maybe 0904, Just download the latest from Asus and slot 4 or 5 will be ok for the sound card as long as your 980s are 2 slots wide
 
Asus did state that all X99 Deluxe owners should flash BIOS 1004 to fix a critical issue regarding balancing power in VRMs. Also there is a new BIOS out today 1103, I haven't installed it yet, will do soon.

I also am using the Plextor M.2 SSD and retired my 840 Pro. It is quite fast, you will like it :)

Cool I'm all up and running now still using the sammy 840 drive didn't get an m2 this time loving this board though

Running 4.4 stable on 1004 bios just reinstalling all the windows crap now :) and sound card is working so pleased about that
