I don't really get the whole joke behind it, I've seen rawk talk about it each season and whether he will get it or not, unless there's some sort of hilarious joke to that I'm not in on :p?

Also some on rawk suggesting he isn't good enough anymore, what a site :o

I think it's a case that only Liverpool supporters (on that forum lets say) care about whether their keeper ends the season with the Golden Gloves award or not. Speaking from a United perspective I certainly don't care if Rooney ends the season having scored more goals than anyone else in the league and being top goal scorer is a much bigger achievement than a keeper keeping clean sheets.

It goes back to the perception that was often levelled at Arsenal and how they over celebrate the simple achievements like winning a big game because it's so long since they won something meaningful e.g. a trophy :p
 
I see no reason not to want your keeper to win the golden glove, especially a fan favourite like Reina.
I can understand why you wouldn't care if Rooney won it.

Tom - remember Liverpool HAVE to have something to celebrate, because they are SO far away from winning anything meaningful

(A Carling cup won by mainly kids is one thing, the same thing won by the senior team......hmmm well I guess its better than nothing, but only just)

Personally I dont think any single player accolade is really worth celebrating - Rooney / VP or whoever wouldnt be scoring the goals without the assists from other players , just as a gk wonk win the golden glove without a good defence infront of him.

I don't think you find people celebrating them.

But they will be happy when one of their player receives an award and want them to do so :)
