Should have posted a new thread on it tbh.

The Dutch away kit is the sex.

Also, are Ireland going to be a team full of left-backs?

I dont really understand the abuse Carroll has got from the media, at no point did he actually appeal for a penalty not even during the second there was before the ref booked him

Personally I think Suarez handling the ball into the net and wheeling away like he'd scored the winner in the Champions League final last week against Wigan was more deplorable!!

i agree with you. God i feel dirty:o

Child welfare done, C license starts in the summer... B license as soon as I finish uni hopefully! I'll be in the PL in no time... if only coaching was as easy as it is on Football Manager! :D

I'm going to do my level 2 in the summer. What age group do you coach?

Nice one, I passed my UEFA B the 2nd time of asking in Feb '11 after completing an NVQ3 (UEFA C), was a very fun learning experience, very low pass rate though from the groups I did my assessment with though, about 5 passed out of a group of 25, doesn't help that different assessors think you should run the session in different ways mind you, any questions or anything feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Ah nice one. I do U12 at the moment, rather do an older age group though and then I'd just turn them into physical monsters. :D

Cool, I started this season and do u17 (I'm 24 myself), I would have preferred younger but this has been good as you can properly influence them and improve them individually and as a team since they understand things much better. We have improved immeasurably this season which I imagine would be much harder to do with younger players.

Still, been a bit daunting trying to teach a group of 17 year old lads from Stoke to try and play like Arsenal haha

Do you have a full time career in football? Do you need to be sponsored/recommended to do the UEFA courses?

Do you have a full time career in football?

I only ever managed to work part time, which included working for the county FA, a local college who delivered Lv 1/2 FA courses and a separate football coaching company but the most work I'd ever get was 15 hours a week which was about £200, average hours was between 8-12. When I completed my UEFA B the idea was to try and work for an academy as that's the minimum qualification they look for but all I ever was offered was say a 90 min session once a week at a satellite. All the academies looked at my young age and said 'Why are you not playing professionally? If you couldn't make it playing professionally then what makes you good enough to coach professionally?' I personally think that's an unfair viewpoint as I was on my courses with professionals where some were excellent but some were awful coaches, but, like girls, all get fast tracked to the top regardless. So in the end I gave up and settled for just coaching my local team and am now going to university in September to study a BSc in Geography.

When I did mine anyone 16+ could do the Level 1/2/3 courses (Lv 3 being the UEFA B), you need to be working with a group of players to practice the sessions and depending on which course a minimum age group and number but you didn't need to be specifically sponsored/recommended. It might have changed now as when I was doing my UEFA B there was talk of changes and for the UEFA A some people were required to go to a taster day if you like to check for their suitability.

Because I'm in Wales doing the FAW C license that doesn't have an assessment, so basically I just have to go to each of the 8 sessions and I'll pass. :D Just annoying that the last one is next April! Then after I graduate I should be able to get straight onto the B if it starts the same time next year as it is doing this year.

Hopefully it won't be too 'hard' to work at a semi decent place once I finish my degree as long as I can get some more coaching experience next year in uni.

'Total football' - young kids don't understand, older kids don't listen to you. :D

:D brilliant! Kudos to you for spreading the beautiful game!

Also sounds like a comedy of sorts!

That's how my UEFA C worked as well, as long as you did all the coursework and turned up you couldn't fail. My UEFA B was practically exactly the same material as the UEFA C (PoP/Functions/8v8 SSG's) except there was an assessment at the end.

It is spread out purposefully unfortunately, in order to give you plenty of time to do the sessions and to practice what you've been taught/demonstrated.

My UEFA B was only 13 days, 3 of which were for the assessment days and were spread out over 7 months.
