Really nervous approaching the Newcastle Liverpool game on Sunday, feels like the build up to the derby. Given the Andy Carroll fiasco (blessing in disguise) the Enrique tweets about the club never finishing in the top 6 again im really rilled up to beat these lot. Being 11 points clear would be superb aswell :D
I think if the football clicks like it did at the Hawthorns last week we can beat them. Although Collocini will be a big miss, equally Agger will be for them. Pleased Bellamy wont be playing aswell.

I dont really understand the abuse Carroll has got from the media, at no point did he actually appeal for a penalty not even during the second there was before the ref booked him

Personally I think Suarez handling the ball into the net and wheeling away like he'd scored the winner in the Champions League final last week against Wigan was more deplorable!!

Yes, though, Carroll went down several other times in the game, and its also clear as day what he meant to do when he went down in the box, he slowed and hoped for contact and went down, though without contact he didn't scream for a penalty, doesn't change what he did.

The main reason Enrique and Carroll got stick is the things they said when they left the club, they tried the old "i'll blame the club for being cheap, say the club is going nowhere, love the club but felt I was being pushed out" which when Newcastle invested in better players and improved showed what empty rubbish it was.

Cabaye did go down, though it was right after Suarez was mouthing off to him, I couldn't work out what was said but he said something to Cabaye about 15-20 seconds before that, turned and smirked, Cabaye was obviously pee'd off, then Cabaye went straight over, won the ball off Suarez, Suarez went back at him and Cabaye did that.

It's in no way remotely good behaviour, its bad, but there ARE levels of bad, and going down to get an utter **** a yellow after he said something to pee you off is one thing, going down to get someone a red card and change the entire game while also giving up the chance to score is just almost as bad as cheating gets.

Not a fan of any of it, and I'd like to be able to say what Cabaye did happens in basically every game while what Carroll did is something that only the worst cheaters do.... the reality of football these days is both things are VERY common occurances :(

But there is still that sense of karma, Krul doesn't routinely cheat, somehow with the amount Suarez does the same thing theres that little vindictive part of human nature that when I see it happen thinks "haha, couldn't happen to a nicer bloke".

Overall after games like that I generally see it as, poor form by too many players in terms of cheating but the right result. Ultimately I would have been really pee'd off to see Cabaye yellowed for a dive and Carroll get away with it if you see what I mean. Again it's really just the way football has gone, I think we both expect cheating and bad refereeing, best case scenario is that the worst game altering cheating gets caught/punished/don't allow it to alter the outcome of the game, better if Cabaye got a yellow to, but it didn't actually change the game in any meaningful way.

Yip.

Every week they all cheat. You would struggle to find an honest player these days and it annoys me but when some get away with it and help to get their team a win the rest want the advantage. They should retrospectively ban anyone who dives for 3 games and it would stop straight away.
