Barton's been given a 12 match ban. I'm not sure how they come up with that number. On the basis that each offense was worth a red card and with each additional red card resulting in an extra game added to the ban, he should have been banned for 15 games.

Hopefully he gets fired, and can't get any kind of compensation and seeing both how he behaves and the fact that he was absolute turd this past season at QPR no one else in the prem will give him a chance.

I'm not sure if you genuinely believe that rubbish or you're trying to get a reaction.

Not only has Barton been charged with 3 separate counts of violent conduct (effectively a 4 game ban for each offense), look at how the CPS deals with assault in comparison with racial abuse.

edit: In case you don't know the difference (you probably don't). Joey Barton got sent down for starting a little fight, where as John Terry faces a maximum of a £2,500 fine.

I don't know why it's rubbish that I think racism is more serious than what Barton did. I'd have thought that is just logical, though I am on the infamous ocuk forums

Also didn't the FA say Suarez said his racisms 5 times (genuinely can't remember as so much was said)

The CPS disagree. So it would be predictable that Liverpool fans would disagree and the majority of people with some sort of common sense too I'd imagine.

Going by my example, the series of physical assaults is worse.

Series of physical assaults is a bit much, he tried and failed to give somebody a dead leg and missed a headbutt (something many Liverpool fans defended Reina/castigated Perch over). Fair enough the elbow was scummy and an assault, but the last high profile elbow I remember got a 0 game ban, and that was unprovoked.
