The bit about Mancini playing two defensive midfielders was to rectify what Hughes had done with the team. When he first joined we were very defensively minded and as you say played two defensive mids against every team.

I agree with what your saying regarding the players we have in the squad and the lack of variety, hence why I said we need a Sanchez or Hazard etc.

Well effectively yes, He is a good player and possibly brilliant but as you say he doesn't solve our main problem imo.

So he rectified the "problem" by continuing operating the system?

I think a lot of Citeh fans blame Hughes as a convenient scapegoat, or if that's your logic

Some would argue that is what Scott Sinclair and Yaya Toure are.
Well Sinclair I agree should have been used a lot more and it again could point towards Mancini's poor man management that he hasn't been used. Had we signed Sanchez or Hazard in the past two transfer windows they would have been played every week.

Yaya Toure isn't, he doesn't have the fitness or stamina to do it and the discipline also, he picks up plenty of yellow cards for bringing people down because they went past him and so on.

This is why we are being linked with Fernandinho, it is a major weakness we have and partly a reason why we went out of the CL.
And Johnson was and Milner/Barry/Toure/Garcia.
Well Johnson was more interested in being a footballer than playing football, he is turning it around a bit now I have noticed under Di Canio but for the past few months under O'Neil and his final few months at City he was completely disinterested and playing badly.

Milner is a decent player, nothing more and nothing less. Can play plenty of different positions and is a good backup but not the quality we need. Barry is again a decent player, not the quality we need. Garcia is a defensive midfielder and backup CB, does a simple job effectively and efficiently.

The problem was we were conceding a lot of goals, Mancini rectified this by playing two defensive mids and sorted out the back four. Now as you can see we have a solid defence and in midfield we play the one defensive mid and we have had the best defence in the league the past three years.

We blame Hughes for spending a lot of money on rubbish we are still lumped with, albeit only until this summer thankfully and also for having the team playing terrible football and really just being Mark Clueless.

Seems so and also you can see a few of them running and jumping up in front of the cameras :/...even the commentator says theres no reason to celebrate.

RIP to those that lost their lives in that horrific fire :(

I know this'll sound stupid because well there is a massive ****ing fire but I imagine some didn't realise the severity of the situation as from the video the stands look empty pretty quick

No real surprise if Mancini is gone or will be gone, im just wondering why the hell it took so long for the City owners to dump him.

Guess if the news is true then Pellegrini must be on his way to City UNLESS its the Moaning one that will come in and take over....that should be a barrel of fun next season if he does take over at City.

No chance of Mourinho. Unless we are sacking Txiki and Soriano as well.

Pellegrini is on his way it seems as you say.

Its a shame how its been dealt with, I thought we would have learnt our lesson when we sacked Hughes.

Anyway, will be interesting to see what he can do. By the looks of it Malaga play not that far away from how we our setup now and by all accounts he is a very good at man management and squeezing performances out of individuals and his teams. You only have to see Malaga this year in the CL and games in the league as proof of this.

One of the main criticisms of Mancini is his relationships with players and his management of a squad of players and plenty of people I spoke to yesterday said this is the main reason for our downfall this year.

I think the criticism is because he's just a complete moron through and through. FA Cup final he brings Rodwell on for Tevez. Rodwell has played like 15 mins of the FA cup run, how unfair is that? As well as that, City were looking for a goal and he brings arguably one of the best players in the world off for a midfielder who couldn't bench press his own granny.

Apparently Newcastle are releasing a statement tonight about Pardèú. No one seems to know what it's about or if its actually happening.

Hmmm......
