Were fans still singing?
Our squad is lacking a genuine wide man with pace, skill and goals as well as an "all action" midfielder
Some would argue that is what Scott Sinclair and Yaya Toure are.
The bit about Mancini playing two defensive midfielders was to rectify what Hughes had done with the team. When he first joined we were very defensively minded and as you say played two defensive mids against every team.
I agree with what your saying regarding the players we have in the squad and the lack of variety, hence why I said we need a Sanchez or Hazard etc.
Well effectively yes, He is a good player and possibly brilliant but as you say he doesn't solve our main problem imo.
Holy hell I never knew about that, Jesus Christ![]()
Well Sinclair I agree should have been used a lot more and it again could point towards Mancini's poor man management that he hasn't been used. Had we signed Sanchez or Hazard in the past two transfer windows they would have been played every week. Some would argue that is what Scott Sinclair and Yaya Toure are.
Well Johnson was more interested in being a footballer than playing football, he is turning it around a bit now I have noticed under Di Canio but for the past few months under O'Neil and his final few months at City he was completely disinterested and playing badly. And Johnson was and Milner/Barry/Toure/Garcia.
The problem was we were conceding a lot of goals, Mancini rectified this by playing two defensive mids and sorted out the back four. Now as you can see we have a solid defence and in midfield we play the one defensive mid and we have had the best defence in the league the past three years. So he rectified the "problem" by continuing operating the system?
I think a lot of Citeh fans blame Hughes as a convenient scapegoat, or if that's your logic![]()

Seems so and also you can see a few of them running and jumping up in front of the cameras :/...even the commentator says theres no reason to celebrate.
RIP to those that lost their lives in that horrific fire![]()
People may have seen this but it's awesome!

The Times understands that City are still debating the timings of the move but the manager could be dismissed before the club’s Barclays Premier League match away to Reading on Tuesday or, failing that, before or immediately after the final game of the season against Norwich City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Nicola Cortese is considering his position as Southampton chairman. Story on @BBCSport shortly #saintsfc l
One of the main criticisms of Mancini is his relationships with players and his management of a squad of players and plenty of people I spoke to yesterday said this is the main reason for our downfall this year.
