I'll be honest i've not seen that much women's football in my time, occasionally I've seen some of the FA cup final, which for some reason always involved Arsenal.

But from watching that England display, it would appear our players have the technical ability of a rake.

now now be nice

he's obviously off his bonce. i wonder if he met any ravers, who didn't have a clue who he was and loved his lucid 'story of how i was a £35m footballer'.

Paul Pogba got the Golden Ball for best player at the U20 world cup :(

Stll irks me that he is exactly what we have been lacking for years and yet instead of giving him game time and experience in the premier league, we brought back a retiree...

Typical Fergie favouritism, amazing manager, but a rose tinted sentimental fool plenty of other times.

Great news, as finally they have announced upgrades to Falmer station and the train services.....might finally be able to get away from the Amex in less than 2 hours:p...atm it takes me nearly 2 1/2 hours to get home on Saturdays, and I work Saturday nights!

well with Gary Hooper looking to sign for QPR Celtic's strikeforce next season could be lining up as follows :-

A. Balde T. Watt

;) :p

Why is Butch Wilkins denying his drink driving charge?

  • Tests taken at a police station showed he was almost three times the legal limit.
  • His car was seen "weaving" down the road at about 01:45 BST.
  • It was alleged Mr Wilkins's car had "lurched" forward and then hit a traffic island.
  • PC Nicholas Skidmore told the court: "There was a strong smell of intoxicating liquor in the vehicle and around him.
  • "When he got out of the vehicle, he couldn't stand up properly".
  • CCTV played to the court showed him apparently trying to complete the tests.
  • He was heard to swear to officers

If that isn't bang to rights, I don't know what is. Or am I missing something?

Gus Poyet loses his internal appeal....surprisingly.

http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/10551125.Sacked_Poyet_loses_his_appeal/

A statement released by the club this afternoon said: "Following a suspension, investigation, disciplinary meeting, and separate appeal hearing, which was conducted by three members of the club's board in London on 11th July and 12th July 2013, Brighton & Hove Albion today confirmed that after further consideration Gus Poyet's dismissal for gross misconduct has been upheld. The panel's decision was delivered to Gus Poyet and his advisers a short time ago.
"The club's internal disciplinary process is now complete. In line with the club's policy to ensure and maintain confidentiality and dignity throughout this process, no further details of the disciplinary or appeal hearings will be released at this time.

"Despite the extremely disappointing end to Mr Poyet's career with Brighton & Hove Albion, the club would like to acknowledge Mr Poyet's service to the club, which included leading the club to the League One championship in 2011 and to its highest league finish for more than 30 years in 2013."

To be fair nothing has been proved.

Just because Pogba has settled in Seria A doesn't mean at all he would (or wouldn't) have done just as well in the EPL.

(SAF wasn't faultless, but in some respects Pogba has come across since as being a little big for his boots too- although this could be the media's fault).

Remember, we don't get to see what goes on in training etc etc - it could be a lot of different factors
