Carroll injured again, it looks like West Ham got ripped off for £15mill.

Got ripped implies West Ham didn't know he was a average(as yet) striker who was injury prone. West Ham walked into the deal with a player they'd had on loan who got injured for half the season, who didn't do an awful lot, for whom there was no other real interest and a club desperate to get rid of him....

Liverpool would have been working damn hard to hold down the laughing when West Ham offered 15mil. I really do think had West Ham offered them 5-10mil and offered Carroll 50-60k they'd both have accepted. Instead West Ham offered 15mil and 80-100k a week to striker who can't be relied on for half a season.
