the 'banter' thread is in poor taste for this clip but does anyone know who this complete **** of a player is? disgusting, unbelievable behaviour. anyone know if he was punished?

A Panamanian footballer faced chants of 'murderer' after he kicked an injured owl that had landed on the pitch during a match in Colombia.
The owl, which is a good luck charm for the fans of the home team Junior Barranquilla, alighted near the corner flag and was quickly struck by the ball during a game against Pereira.

Surprisingly interesting piece in the Mail (of all places) showing who is the most important player to each team and how many points worse off they would be if they weren't there (after all the talk on how Suarez is driving Liverpool) and the 'winner' is RVP with manu being 26 points worse off if he wasn't playing for them.

Yeh Liverpool and United both have players carrying them this season. There are too many passengers/past it players in both teams.

UEFA to open disciplinary hearing against Lazio and Spurs during their match in November. only 3 months late, Lazio where a disgrace that day, Dont know why we are being investigated, from what I saw there where not any issues.

EDIT

Remembered this is the game when the Italian Police basically battered Spurs fans in the stadium. I expect it was all our fault!

Was surprised that RVP was 'worth' that much to your team, then again manu generally have one player that steps up (rooney a few seasons back when he banged in 30 odd goals, fake ronaldo the season he left)

Given all the talk a few weeks ago I would have thought Suarez would have stormed the list.

If there is a more pointless statistic, I haven't seen it!

And if anything, doesn't it show that MU can be considered less of a one-man team than Liverpool?

How do you figure that?

The table shows the most important player to each club. Suarez is important to Liverpool and RVP to Utd.

Its impossible to quantify what the person who would have replaced RVP in those games would have been worth (if Utd hadnt signed him in the summer) - so the number of points is a complete guess ......or any other player in a different team for that matter

(Not disputing how impressive RvP has been, but I can never see the point of such comparisons in any player /team)

Well the way I read it was that RVP has one more goal and 3 more assists than Suarez, but Utd are far above them in the league, suggesting that when RVP scores his goals, he can rely on the rest of the team(defense, other scorers, whatever) to get a result, whereas Suarez can't.

No, if you look at the points the goals/assists are worth it shows that manu are far more of a one man team than anyone else in the premiership.

That was the point we were making when all the numpties here were jumping on the "Liverpool are ****, take Suarez out and they would be relagation fodder, lol" mantra

Hey,

Just on the KPB thing - what exactly were the fans chanting? His reaction was so sudden and so severe, I was just thinking it must have been pretty horrendous to get him to act the way he did!
