The Batman (Matt Reeves)

I do hope this is good.

But if it's anything like the planet of the apes remakes, which were well received critically, but I personally found a bit....forgettable.

I wouldn't be itching to watch that trilogy again, put it that way.

I thought the 3rd POTA movie was a bloated dull mess, 2nd is probably my favourite but as you say, never really had an urge to rewatch.

Maybe this will be Reeves breakout movie, maybe it'll be another dull pondering movie, i'll find out at the weekend.

Just saw it 9/10

Very good. To me it felt long.......
I checked my phone at the 2h mark and was like 50 mins left!...Gulp !

I am not a comic book fan but have seen all the other films.

Given the only other stuff i have seen RP in was the Twilight stuff, I originally wasn't holding much hope for this as I was very much a fan of the Nolan films, however, I did like Batfleck, who sucked serious balls as Daredevil, so I'm open to the possibility that RP has grown as an actor (which apparently he really has) and that the direction and script will really show a good representation of the Batman..

I'll give it a chance and will go in with no expectations.

Twilight is absolute dog ***** for women. He has much better roles, check out Good Time. He's great in that, among a few other movies.

Overall I thought it was good but RP's Bruce Wayne was the only bad thing. It felt that he was Batman in plain clothes at times and not the rich playboy. Also what's up with the decor of Wayne manor? Lol I thought they were in Harry Potter Hogwarts castle

Fantastic film, yes it's long but ticked along nicely and every scene had purpose. I've never been a comic reader but it felt as close to a moving comic in my mind and portrayed the grit and darkness of the batman.

Only reckon Bruce Wayne was on screen for 10 mins at most. Sound was spot on. The car chase was incredible.

Reminded me how annoyed I get everytime I watch the dark Knight and the bat bike chase scene at the sound, along with numerous other bits.

The fight scene in the corridor with just the bullets visible was an awesome scene in the film, really well done.

Just got back from watching this, awesome.

Same. Lived up to the hype imo. Best Batman out behind Keaton's. Yes I am little bias because Tim Burton ones was good at its time. Perhaps edge the Nolan series. I didn't think the 3rd was good which brought down my opinion of them.

It was a complete rip off of a scene in Equilibrium.

I saw this on Thursday with my wife and really enjoyed it.

I really like that it was a Bruce Wayne origin story rather than a Batman original story.
