The Battlefield 4 Thread 2015

I'm guessing it also works with Sabot, try it out though. Is there even any splash on Sabot though? Do you even splash bro? :D

@Manju, next weekend probably...mostly TOW with a bit of RPG/SRAW and roadkills.

It's ok, but I manly rely on HMG when I'm tanking and only really quick fire the sabot when I need to. I mostly like derping around trying to one shot little birds :D

I don't know how you manage to shoot down helis so well - I've found its way too random where you actually have to hit them - just shooting behind them seems to work as much as trying to lead.

My connection is very good and stable. I think you suffer from a dodgy connection which would probably impact chances of dusting / missed shots - then again so does Nexus

I feel sorry for the peeps who accused us of hacking before if we can get a viable system going!:D

Yeh it will be rape - if you can get an RPG off as well it will be very powerful.

Person 1: Fire tow + main + APS, jump out RPG, rep
Person 2: Zunis + main

Doing video rendering and big photoshop stuff, 8GB wasn't cutting the mustard.

Seems much better on PS now which is good.

Fair enough. Assume you also have a big SSD as well or does that not help much?

I dust A LOT :( Last night I dusted on a transport heli 3 times in a row.......

Since the patch, something def. feels different for shooting aircraft down though, not sure if the sabot speed and/or drop was reduced/increased slightly or/and you just need to be more accurate now.

Here's the loadout: :D

Kiwi (Driver). APFSDS-T Shell, Zunis, AP, Thermal, Reactive, Proxy.

Hazard (Gunner). 25 MM HE Shell, TOW, Extinguisher/Smoke, Zoom, Autoloader, Proxy.

Would you want the reverse? Or are you assuming they will APS on firing Zunis leaving them exposed for the TOW? Also do they use these tactics in comp?

Just installed this again.

Played it for 20mins on release then uninstalled it, probably short sighted. Pummeled a load of time into bf2 and 3 so decided to give it another chance. So far so good. Only played an hour or so more but I wasnt too shabby :)

Any headline tips to help me along my way with regards to the ground infantry play? ie add-ons, top gadgets etc?

Any maps which are more infantry based? I used to love Metro and the other CQB maps on BF3.

Connection is the best its ever been at the moment - currently 8-10ms ping, 0 jitter, 0 packetloss (<0.01%) to UK servers - the netgraph doesn't budge a pixel in that regard - while it doesn't prove quality this is a typical tracert:

Tracing route to bbc.net.uk [212.58.246.54]

I do tend to find having a very low ping seems to be an actual disadvantage in the game though - I have a far more consistent experience (against players with a ping over the server average) around 40-50ms latency than <20ms especially <10ms :( compared to other games where having a super low ping is a huge advantage.

I guess it depends on the situation, you never know who or when someone will pop AP, but if it's someone experienced it tends to go like this, say on Flood Zone. You see a LAV across the map, he sees you. If you get hit by the first tow and AP after, you're screwed basically. A critical hit followed up by shells will put you in a bad position before you even used AP and then the next tow will end you (plus that's why I always use Zoom with tows, so I can see the other tow coming at me before I ap). If you see a tow coming at you, you should always AP. This will give you time to get out of there, rep or whatever. Same with tank shells, I would only AP after 2 hits, depending if I have reps or not. But yeah, if he's AP'd after zunis, then go for the tow. If you hit with the Tow and he then APs I wouldn't bother rushing him, just finish it from afar with another tow and shells. So yeah, if you hit with tow first, and he AP's after the hit, you have the upper hand.

Makes sense! @Rroff, not sure then. BBF hitdection is dodgy at the best of times but when I get that long range littlebird triple kill it is a beautiful thing :D
