The Battlefield 4 Thread 2015

Fixed that for you ;)

Mean but has some slight truth to it :D

Come show us how it's done then Joe :p

Joe you should accept the challenge ;)

Splash damage with it is highly unreliable, sometimes I've killed people in buildings more often not.

You can also destroy a hostile cruise missile as commander.

Only kills I have from it are what the enemy would see as Killed in Action when a building falls down on them. I've killed a few enemy missiles with proxy and emp, unless the enemy commander is useless it makes missile attacks useless as they will just deploy either emp or proxy. They should add another kind of missile like a napalm strike :D

Anyone about tonight? I fancy a few rounds :)

I might popadom on :)

just bought myself a couple of new cards as well...yes I did say a couple :)

Thought you had a Fury X, changed your mind and coming to the green camp?

naaa...couple 390's...MSI gaming ones, sod the Fury and Fury X, too much money for the performance, add to that to many issues regarding coil whine. For £270 each, is a bit of a no brainer, plus had vouchers and birthday money. Will use these, get the most out my freesync, then jump on the proper new cards next year or year after. Will be a tidy upgrade from my 7950s :)

My money is on 2x390 ;)

Might be on tonight but first.... I must devour chicken tikka masala + naan bread + pilau rice! :D

EDIT:

Nice  Love MSI gpu's.

NVM, remembered that your birthday is in June iirc?

It runs Ultra at 1440p perfectly, I just tabbed out and noticed it at 100%. Does BF4 make use of hyper threading then? I have such a good clocking i5. I really don't want to try my luck at silicon lottery again.

It does use ht yes, when moving to the i7 I saw much lower CPU use and much more consistent higher gpu use. With the i5 my cards were stuck at 80% max.

Mate lent me his Origin account with BF4 on it and oh my God it feels so much smoother and more responsive than BF3! And they've got rid of that retarded blue tint on everything! The soldier feels a lot lighter and more nimble and the hit reg/lag is substantially better (still not perfect though), it doesn't feel like a peer-to-peer game like BF3 did. Will grab this once it's on sale I think. the only real shame is the amout of maps, only 10 with the normal game while COD4 has 21!

tbh bf 3 hit reg. wasn't too bad, the main thing that give the perception of bad hit reg. was the utterly retarded suppression system where when suppressed, your bullets go every where but where you aim

Well cod 4 has 21 ****** maps whereas bf4 has at least 6 great ones :D.

They've tightened it up a lot since release - though took them way too long IMO :S you can still tell the game is still trying to roll too much time into one update though but its much easier to live with.

BF4 has 1-2 great maps but I find there are a lot less iconic maps than classic call of duty games have/had.

(If you have a really low ping the suppression system can still give you the perception of bad hit reg due to the horrid contrived way they make it work with syncing against players with a lot higher latency).

That is one of the reasons I enjoy playing commander - gaming them into using the proxy/emp at the wrong time so you can use the missile, etc. not that I'm particularly skilled at it but I do enjoy the battle of wills if the other commander is on the ball.

A few more options like a selection of attacks would make it far more interesting though.
