Speaking of Stu - Yesterday was the second time he had decided that life was a bit tough on the losing team so performed a tactical team switch :rolleyes:

With the power of shadow play I'm slowly building a record of this despicable behavior :D

Tony, Josh, Nexus - You guys be on this week or are you more or less done with BF4?

I'm on, been playing today actually....trying to find the right mix of DXTory settings and Sony Vegas rendering etc want to start getting some gameplay vids up on the tube.
 
I have now. I set a cap of 140fps for my game, when I record with DXTory do I just select 60fps bearing in mind youtube only does 60fps. Or do I record at 120fps or synchronised with my video?

I don't use DXTory - I record at 60fps in shadowplay. No point going any higher. I thought the options for digital mixing were cool. Might make it easier to get content on here without all the bad words :D You may need to permanently mute Stu though as it's almost a constant stream!
 
I'm no expert but it looks pretty decent to me. What's up with the FPS? Should be 144+ all the time with your setup!
 
I had 4xmsaa plus 300mb data rate selected in DXtory and set the record rate to 120fps on that one, I'm guessing was using to high settings to record and was taking more power to do so. Will knock it down to 60fps recording and try another one
 
I was picked up by an OCUK platoon member's tank in a Lancang dam game yesterday whilst I was stranded at D. What proceeded next was a vicious attack from the enemy. The platoon member was kiwibot but smaws, rpgs, jets, choppers, lavs, tanks, soflams, javelins all were concentrated on taking him out. That was intense. I still prefer BF3 though :p

That happens, entire team ends up trying to take the tank down. It's particularly funny when they fail to do so! :D
I tried to play some BF3 yesterday. Nosehair canals conquest. Was bossing a flag until I got my SLI E_OUTOFMEMORY again :(
 
Any idea how an AMD 6950 will cope with BF4 at 2560x1080 while I wait for my RMA? I've been offered one as a stop gap. Better than my current 9600GT which doesn't even support Ultrawide!

ok, slightly different settings, how is the quality now, acceptable or not? Also, check out that invincible dorito at 4:06, was left scratching my head there.

 
^^ Thats the problem with how the game rolls way too much time into an update and then contrives an outcome - while they've tweaked it so that much of the time it reflects what happened its still far from good at the fundamental level.

I'm guessing the game decided the guy on your right had already killed you before your last few bullets hit so clientside it looked like you'd done enough damage to kill him several times and probably actually had but the way it reconciled events over the timeslice resulted in the server deciding you'd actually died before firing those shots.

I'm fairly sure there are still quite a few bugs with how it extrapolates/interpolates player positions and the ordering of events of players with widely different latency. For instance way too often people (not cheating) are already pretty much shooting me as I come around a corner (in situations where they'd have to have seen me about 300ms earlier for events to happen like that) I'm fairly sure on their end the game is predicting my position too far ahead or something and vice versa I keep forgetting to shoot at where a player has just gone around a corner as not infrequently you can still hit them even though they've visually gone from your screen.

Tried 350.12 last night, It installed, but wouldn't let me enable SLI while cortina was running. Have you tried disabling cortina? You need to kill the process and then rename the exe before it can start again (as it immediately relaunches!).

Gave up and went back to 355.60. Apparently there's a hot fix coming soon.

just looked at mine, was set to 59(74) in that video which is where I left it from default I think. Just tried 74(90) but it I hate that fisheye look you get and will take some getting used to. I can see so much more around me though, damn I'm going to be a killing machine with a higher FOV :p....that would explain why 90% of my deaths come from the sides of me :mad: Will wait and see what Master YouTube Westie suggests ;)
