The Battlefield 4 Thread 2015

Nice overclock on that 980 :D I thought about getting one but I couldn't bring myself to invest in the mid range card although god knows how long I'll be waiting for the affordable cut down Titan X variant. Probably 6 months ;(

Thanks man, it can do 1600/4050 however that's pushing the wall a bit, so I stick at this for complete stability :)

I hope you're running a 144hz monitor with that setup!

@Foster: The thermal is definitely worse since the update so not sure how you have come to this conclusion

Agree with your comment regarding night vision for helicopter pilots. It's pretty standard for them to use this at night. The night stalker pilots pioneered this.

The patch has really improved things in the netcode area, amazing to think that people said there was nothing wrong with it :p

Btw, now running all on ULTRA - 2XMSAA - 150% Resolution Scale, lowest it dropped was 90FPS in metro 64/64 during a heated battle.
pretty impressive that, cant remember exactly what my minimums are using DSR 2560x1800. But iirc at 1920x1200 with x4 msaa at ultra its in the 90's. Will check on higher res later.

I found the thermal off putting to start with but got used to it quickly. I think burning vehicles, flares and other heat sources are more blinding now though perhaps.

What do you guys find to be the minimum FPS you can personally play BF4 on ? i think mine is around the 60 mark or so

use to be 59Hz but now I can't stand anything less than 135. Once you go high FPS you don't go back if you can help it.

60 is fine for me, but ill only drop that low on a very laggy server. If I'm not running a frame limit, (temp issues) its normally in the high 80's - low 90's for minimum, map dependent. Desperately need a 120+Hz monitor but a bit skint at the mo. Actually considered selling my main system.

I'm still crashing in CTE so I guess the fix didn't work.

Took some screenshots though (Ultra pre-set)

What ingame settings are you running?

I need to look at clocking my 4770K, its still at stock 3.50GHz ;(
4.2/3 will be grand with a single 780 in this game. I run stock now on a 4790k, 4.4 on one core under turbo. Don't see any problems with sli 780.

Same my 4790k is at stock and my 780 trundles along fine, I rarely see dips under 121 with my 120hz BenQ screen.

I am a "low 4 pro" settings users however.

I have a h100i so temps shouldn't be an issue if i bump up to 4.2/3 on the chip (touch wood).

I will just need to see how a few people overclocked the same chip as mine, wouldn't want to mess up my first OC now would i ! ;)

Ahh okay, well i'll have to have a good read into clocking my chip so i don't mess anything up. how did you go about your clocking? any solid guides for this chip?

IIRC hit the voltage to 1.2 and see if it can do that at 4.3 - 4.5. I run mine at 1.35 for 4.6 or 1.285 for 4.5.

@stulid all that nice stuff isn't going to help you getting kills when hiding in your in spawn with the MAA not doing anything productive ;)
