The Battlefield 4 Thread 2015

BF2 was good but it was all we knew back then. The hit boxes were all over the place making the game incredibly frustrating and not being able to see across the whole map at times due to engine and graphical power limitations really shaped the maps. Something line Dragon Valley needed a large amount of tweaking to ensure it worked in BF4. Any ideas when it and the CMP are actually due?

Prob end of October/early November Tess. IIRC I don't think the classic map is in the fall patch but I could be wrong. The CMP has certainly had a lot more testing and is very polished. It's my fav map right now.

No ETA on the maps as far as I know.

Hi guys, apparently high tickrate servers are starting to appear today, i just had a game on a 144hz server and the difference was pretty big.
In just one map i noticed people dying as they should do,so far seems a lot better than before.
The problem is finding these high tickrate servers as most dont have high tickrate in the name and no option to filter such servers either.
Would be nice if people found such servers and maybelinked them here :)
Heres the 144hz one i played on, 120 and 144 is strecthing it a buit but 60hz servers should also play better than the old 30hz servers.

I had a quick go on one the other night. It's only really any good for a small TDM server, but you can get a good experience on a 48 player 60Hz server for conquest.

DICE are adding the option to battlelog so will be a lot easier soon.

Well VM have come out and replaced everything for me - router, switches and cables.

That, coupled with the 200mbps I'm now getting make me a happy bunny.

I'll be on, want to test out the new speeds.

Probably not tonight.

Ordered a chinese, 30 minutes late + delivered wrong order in the end, took 20 minutes to contact them, still waiting for order to be sent out.........

Does the high tickrate servers affect mouse sensitivity or polling rate? I noticed my mouse movements felt smoother when i tryed it. But my sensitivity felt like it had increased. Or im going crazy :p

In theory what happens ingame should be a little closer to your actions which will make things feel a little "tighter". DICE being DICE their input code seems fairly heavily tied to the update rate - there was quite a bit of issue with vehicles and turrets I believe when they started tweaking update rates and I suspect that has been papered over rather than fundamentally fixed.

Saw a survey the other day (can't remember where) that found that the best battlefield game (or most fondly remembered) was bfbc2

Personally I loved that game and enjoyed the heli in it so much! When I think back on bf2 I shudder.....good jet pilot up? Gg was bloody silly. Serious rose tinted specs methinks for most people.
