They're good maps! Not played Pearl Market yet though. I'm not insulting CQL, I'm just stating that's why it gets boring, because we always play it :p

Love Lumphini Garden - especially zipping around on the jet skis :D The levolution is not bad either. Pearl Market and Sunken Dragon are terrible though.

IIRC I was the first banned because of "cheating" and then you lot give them abuse so not sure why I have been unbanned and you guys haven't been!


Yup I really like that lumphini map. CL is quite good fun tbh!

We have tried different game modes/maps before but end up going back to vanilla CQL after 1-2 rounds :p

I really want to play some more naval strike!

Only game modes I hate are TDM, DOM and carrier assault.

And for DLC map packs, second assault maps and that DT's pearl market and sunken dragon map = NEVER AGAIN!

Locky has actually got me into domination recently :eek: I used to hate it but it allot of fun just running around and farming, especially with the SWIFT :cool: I'm not into Naval Strike as much due to vehicle spam and that AC130. Fully agree with lvl cap that they need to remove that gunship from the game.

I really hope the final stand maps have a better balance of vehicle and cover for infantry (think Zavod but bigger). Either that or they bring back some of the good BF3 maps as-is.

Fully agree. The only good thing to come of premium is CTE IMO which is very sad indeed.

They are quite cheap, yeah, but priorities man! Faster load times in BF4, or two days worth of uplifts passes for any downhill track in the UK? Faster loads or half the cost of a good restaurant w/ gf? Faster loads or petrol costs for getting to most trail centres in the UK?

As a full time Uni student with rent, course fees, bills, gym membership, a taste for pretty freaking expensive sports, no maintenance loan and a part time job I can only work during the summer holidays (and one where in I am not guaranteed any shifts, let alone a set amount) I have to budget very well and that £50 could be better spent elsewhere :p Oh to be 15 again and only have to worry about paying for a subscription to Not suitable... ;):p

Regarding the bans, surely they aren't all permanent bans? I've picked up more than a few but they tend to only be for a set time frame, like a week, or month. Regarding game types, I think carrier assault is fantastic and not played enough at all by us. I also still enjoy several rush maps, despite the majority of maps being desperately broken. To echo chippy, we need to expand our game types just to vary things up and stop them from going stale.
 
I have to say that I really like lumpy garden as well and propaganda but the rest are pretty meh.

You boys need to be more average like me never get banned then :)

We have a 1 out all out policy, generally they ban one of us from something be it being too good (nexus, tony) or gobbing off (everyone else) and then we all kick off.

I think most of my bans are for supposedly cheating so would imagine they are permanent. I could probably go on the forums and get unbanned, but I really cba with having to register an account :p We have a bad habit of going on the clan TS after though and spamming soundboard clips, which probably doesn't help... :p

You are probably right about the bans for language and admin abuse though.

Don't we all want it gone?! Well except Tony...... :D It is the sole reason I don't like carrier assault:

- no jets and no aa to deal with it
- maps have no cover at all from it

At least in CQL mode, we get jets and AA to deal with it. The maps look sooo damn nice though :cool: Also great fun for little bird action!

Exact same reason why I hate the SA maps too, gunship just ruins every map, tbh surprised DICE didn't put the damn thing on other maps like zavod, siege etc.

Caspian map got turned into one big pile of steaming **** as well, that wall = stupid! I honestly can't believe they thought that was a good decision, favours the Russian (iirc) side so damn much.

Final stand looks like it will be similar to the armoured kill map pack for bf 3, I just hope DICE don't add the ac130 but I think we all already know that they will....

Would be nice if DICE removed a few vehicles from certain maps, way too many on lacang.

I would love to see seine and bazaar but.... due to all the different type of grenade spam, those maps will just be horrible, just like what has happened with bf 4 metro :(

Well I wouldn't want to be left out so it'll have to be gobbing off then seeing as being banned for being too good is unlikely with my old man reflexes.

Remember the UR guys and their server, we all changed our names to NEXUS-BOT-V# so had like 6-7 nexus bots on one team and each time they said something, all just post in chat "sry, which nexus bot are we talking about here?" rinse and repeat for a few minutes.... BANNED! :D
 
Just watched lvlcap's video on less is more and agree with everything except:

- XM25 airburst, very rarely been killed by it tbh
- medic bags

50/50 on these points:

- defensive/squad perks, agree with some points. imo the BF3 squad system was much better
- kind of agree with the jets bit too, although DICE could do a much better job of balancing them tbh i.e.

1. nerf the attack jet 30mm cannon especially against helis
2. keep the stealth jet as it is but increase the attack jet manoeuvrability so that a good attack jet pilot can actually take on a decent stealth jet, so fed up with getting owned by the stealth jet despite the pilot actually being pretty damn ****, spend 5 minutes dog fighting with them and they eventually get me but then I go in the stealth and take them out in like 2 seconds...

One thing that is sorely needed is some height/out of bounds limitation for buildings, siege, flood zone and dawnbreaker are just ruined by roof campers.

And as I touched upon earlier, removing some vehicles from some maps, so damn pointless some of the vehicles on certain maps, the stealth jets on dawnbreaker lol.....

Also love to see the AA mines gone too.

It is a shame that we won't see any of these changes though :(

I think your second point regarding jets is contradictory to having better balance. It would be a return to BF3 where you can easily go an entire round without getting fragged. Having a superior attack jet gives the opposite team a chance at taking you down which can be countered by having a wing man. I tend to agree with level cap that it's almost impossible to add balance regarding jets without introducing too many game-breaking changes which can be easily exploited - example the Mobile AA.

Like I've said before, the effectiveness of jets can be countered by giving infantry more cover but at the end of the day I don't think that's really a solution as the helis/boats/tanks are highly vulnerable.

problem with getting a server will be keeping the punters in after you rape them on every round :p unless you split the ocuk fellows up 50/50 I can't see it being terribly populated.

I don't mind that much if when I join I'm on the wrong team as it can be quite fun and always nice to take someone down and them spam the banter...like stulid.... eating my s-raw with his LB last night ;) he ofc got his revenge later on but i didn't actually see any other ocuk members that map :p

it's just a bit lame as once you get the rape train a rollin' then there seems to be very little the opposing team can do, often find yourself climbing the team rankngs even after joining half way through as they don't seem to want to take any objectives back from you guys :p
 
I much prefer balanced games that run close to the wire than just roflstomping every round. As you say most people just leave so it becomes boring.

could try and join more active clan servers which have quite a few members on? I'm sure they wouldn't mind as means they could get all their players onto one team :)

I can afford one, its just that I'd rather spend that money elsewhere :) When I'm back at Uni my PC basically just becomes an office PC with the odd game here and there so load speeds don't bother me :p Just winding you up, really dude!

I personally dont mind the absence of jets or AA in CA, I think there is plenty going on on the ground/in the water to more than make up for it. They are also more prone to closer games in my experience, I dont think Ive ever lost or won a game of CA or CAL by more than 20% carrier health or 1 MCOM.
