I will be keeping to my HMG, sooooo satisfying sniping infantry across the map (literally) with 2-3 headshots, especially the pesky engineers who head glitch and camp the roofs like pros!

Also, the HMG is handy for finishing of a heli.
 
Can anyone help me understand the following please -

I fitted a 970 and I'm running everything on Ultra with 2 x MSAA @ 1080

It ran like a dog at first but by coincidence the patch defaulted the FOV back to 50 so I upped it to 90 and now it runs super smooth, I noticed my FPS goes above 120 quite often and I have a 120hz monitor

based on that, 2 questions -

Why does the FOV being increased make the game run smoother, if I would have guessed on any effect at all I would have thought it would have made it less smooth as its displaying more?

Why when my FPS goes above 120 why do I not experience any negative stuff like screen tearing seeing as though my monitor is 120hz?

Oh trust me, I do, but I like to use the PC for all its features and regularly switch video feed to my plasma so I can fly from the living room.

Tried these so far:
- restarting windows (7 Pro 64bit)
- uninstalling drivers
- trying without any drivers
- downloading and installing latest drivers
- powering on controller before launching the game

Please don't tell me this has intentionally been removed :(
 
I was only being sarcastic, sorry. :)

Is it working in other games?

Theres some controller options in bf4 isn't there? Checked them?
 
It works perfectly with everything else.

I don't think there's an 'enable controller' button in BF4, at least not that I could see unless that's what they added... the key bindings are mapped when I check vehicle controls.

All was fine before the patch.
