Yes I was flicking between them, settled on the BBC eventually... iirc Brundle bumps into EJ at the start of his pitwalk and doesn't acknowledge him, then he bumps into DC and he's immediately up his backside.

Might not be anything in it but just thought it was interesting.

Brundle has been quite open about the fact that he doesn't like EJ and never really bonded with Jake, yet is really good mates with DC.

I wouldn't read anything more into the whole MB/EJ/DC meeting and acknowledging/not acknowledging than any other past employees meeting in the street.

Much preferred the BBC coverage. Why did they let EJ do half the grid walk though, grabbing peoples arms and then trying to interview Charlie Whiting, was quite amusing.

I think the previous year was better Brundle+DC as lead commentator

Who is the current commentator with DC, Ben who? too much enthuisiasm and a bit of a squeal sound. Trying to sound like Murray W :o.

Brundle wasn't as good as lead commentator though, make too many mistakes. He's better as co-commentator.

It's Ben Edwards. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Edwards

Either Ben Edwards has gotten better, or I'm just more used to him now, but I don't mind him as much as I did at first. He's a decent enough commentator.

He sounds boring on the F1 season review DVDs, but I don't hold that against him because it's hard to be enthusiastic about something when it's all done and dusted and you know the result, not to mention he's probably reading off a script the majority of the time.

I'll just say the BBC could have done a lot worse.

Been on the website after every race :) I watched the Malaysian one.

BUMMER. Thanks for letting us know, I will be all over that now! Is it after the highlights or after the race itself?

Really, where? I know they never really bonded on the TV but JH/EJ/DC do bond very well IMO.

I like the choice of new faces they have, I don't think the commentary has significantly degraded (if at all) and the pit lane guy knows his stuff and knows people (Knowledge + knowing people = is power... so to speak).

Sky apart from MB don't have anyone else that has actually been in the sport? BBC have 3!

BBC coverage today was a lot better, i actually prefer Ben and DC to blundering Brundle. The Sky coverage has been average at best, i still think they have chosen the wrong people, apart from the staff that left the BBC, which are the best thing about Sky right now, still not worth watching though.

Ben is DREADFUL compared to Brundle, no other way about it.

Always thought MB and DC felt like two old mates chatting infront of the tv while still being accurate / informative

Was just brilliant imo

After watching the first 2 races on sky i watched this one on the BBC, Ben edwards did the first practice with alguaisuari and it was really boring. Edwards was flat and not very interesting and alguaisuari while having some good insights again wasn't very good (maybe he will get better as he goes along). FP2 was just as bad with James allen (I hadn't watched him comment on ITV).

I watched FP3 on sky with Ant and Croft and it was much better

I didn't have high hopes for qually and the race but Edwards was very good and seemed to work quite well with DC.

I'm definatly watching the practices on sky but i'm not sure about qualifying or the race
